I got a call from this number about my mortgage being late and wanted a payment over the phone.  Smells like a scam.

Bank of America.  You may not even know you have an account with them.  A lot of banks sell their mortgages to them.  It is legitimate.  I forgot to pay my mortgage on time and they blew up my phone.

One thing about BOA, all of their calls are automated and their system is flawed.  So if you have paid your mortgage, but paid it on the due date, they will still call and they will send letters, even if you are current. I have had conversations with customer service who told me to just ignore the calls.

Bank of America likes to harrass people about being 1 month late paying. I look at it like this: I will pay them along with the late fee so leave me the hell alone!  Stop wearing out my phone please!

"Stop wearing out my phone please!"  Perhaps you should tell them that.  Posting it here will not be seen by them, and even if they did they would not know who to stop calling.  But then I guess if you are 1 month late and can't understand why they are calling you, then I guess you wouldn't know enough to not post "Stop wearing out my phone please!" here.  You are late, you know you are late, and they have every right to call you until you talk to them like an adult.  Sorry, but you will get no sympathy here over your problem.

SCAM, all you people thinking it's really BOA, you are suckers! Call the real BOA, this is not one of their phone numbers.  Quit being fooled by people trying to get your information!

Bank of America will call you quickly if you are even 1day late paying them. Hey, I figure they are collecting a late fee from me so leave me the hell alone. It will get paid. I reported them to the F T C once because tbey were nasty & keep calling & that worked for awhile.  I hate the way they do business!

    STOP CALLING ME
An individual claiming to be a debt collector, but refused to tell me a thing. However, he was more than willing to take any type of payment over the phone for a debt I do not have. I cannot believe these groups can continue to get away with this activity.

    I didn't answer... both times.
Called once before, maybe a little less than a week ago? A message was left but it was the sound of a guy muttering to himself like he's confirming that the number he called is the same that was on file... no information about anything at all...
Second time was the same. To those of you who say it's Bank of America, I would imagine they are a bit more professional than that...
And, to top all of that off, I'm a teen who simply has a debit card, and nothing else, with my local credit union, no mortgage or anything like that and no reason, that I can see, that they would be contacting me. Not sure who it is or what's going on but is getting obnoxious

Tired to call the 877-487-8151 to return an unanswered call on my phone. I have multiple accounts with BofA and have never been contacted with the automated set up on this number. If you owe a legitimate debt, there will be some sort of message to return a call... no message left.
I continually asked for a representative but the system said they need more information first and then disconnected my call.
Why would anyone expect in this day and age to have someone randomly enter their social security number or account information just because when you call the unidentified number back they claim to be Bank of America? And no, I do not have an unpaid debt.

This calls recording says they are Bank Of America.  I haven't banked with them in a couple of years now.  What the recording does....is it asks for the last four digits of your social security number.  But think about it.....I know longer deal with this company anymore....it's not my bank.
