Linked an unknown $60 charge to this phone number through bank acct.

I got a credit card charge for over $600 - linked to this number- for a tax and cashier school I never attended

I just got charged $75 from same phone number- West Asset Managment. A phone call has proven ineffective as it appears to be a fax machine. Call another line, "TLG" (same previous number) and get the run around. "We aren't affiliated." B.S. If you google the telephone number there are numerous acronyms tied to the same number. Can I getta SCAM?

On 11/23 I got a $100 charge on my visa.  Never heard of West Asset Management(listed on my statement as the payee).  No idea what for.  It connects to what sounds like a fax machine.

said to call them becuz i have done business with a client of theirs in the past.  discocovered $41 withdrawn from my bank account with only this number for identification.  when attempting to call this number it does not work.

How did they get your bank account number to take your money ?

Is this a 'payment process service' for a good or service that you did purchase?  Maybe you gave your number to someone who does not have a "real" merchant account and they use this clearing house account?????  Otherwise, how did they get your billing information?????

I had called the JOEL OSTEEN  program to buy tickets for their upcoming performance but the lines were busy.   A few days later I got a call from someone who said "I apologize for the inconvience but we were so busy with sales , I can take your order now. So I bought 10 tickets.  guess what?   I got ZERO tickets, I got no reciept, no e-mail, and they also opffered a free c.d. with purchase of the tickets, I didn't get that either.   the phone number appears to be a fax machine  -  don't know how they got my info. I called the Venue, Ticketmaster and the Joel Osteen program and none of them have any record of my name.     This # is not the same # that I originally called to buy tickets, but how did they know that I called?

Took $1000 out of my acct. listed as capital one debit purchase with this phone number and "TX" after it. This is a brand new card (thanks to Home Depot breach) so no idea how anyone got the number.

I have a credit card processing machine.  When I process a billing, the credit card machine verifies the charge using the phone line, therefore it "calls" the above mentioned number.  However, when my customer sees the charge on their card, they will see my business name.  I know this because I have run a test using my own credit card for $1.  I don't know why some people see the above phone number rather than the name of the business that they used the card at.  
The above mentioned number never calls me however it may "call my number" to do a "settlement" after business hours.
Maybe some collection companies or other types of businesses don't reveal their real name and just use the above mentioned number as a ruse.
Of course, it you really are scammed by someone taking money from your bank account or charging your credit card without your permission, you can protest it with your bank or card issuer and they should remove the charge.
