They keep calling at weird times of day and leaving no message.  I look through my caller ID and they call early in am even on the weekend.  That should be illegal and I don't know where they are calling from?

Received several calls from this number.  They never left a message.  Finally I called back and spoke to a very polite lady who asked whether I knew such-and-such a person.  I didn't.  She said they would remove my number from their system and that it would take 24 to 48 hours.  We'll see.   (probably a collection agency)

These idiots called me today looking for someone with my very common last name and first initial.  They also called me two years ago over the same deal.  I spoke with a woman in India who said it would take 48 hours to get my number out of their robo-dialer.

Received a call this morning inquiring if our number was the same for a certain individual. I did not provide any information. I asked who was calling and why, and how they got our number. The individual said it was personal. I ended the call by telling that person not to call our number ever again.

If your cell phone is being called using an auto-dialer and you did not grant permission for this to happen, you can report the company to the CFPB because companies aren't permitted to call a cell phone using an auto-dialer without the permission of the person they're calling.

They can be reported to the CFPB...they aren't permitted to call before 8am or after 9pm of the time zone in which you are located.

All in all this seems extremely suspect, having so many business names, and so many violations of the FDCPA.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

The CFPB deals with debt collectors and debt related matters.  The auto dialer is covered under the TCPA not the FDCPA.
The other thing is why are you replying to 3 year old posts?

They've been calling me for over 3 years.... calls 7 days a week,, at least three times a day but they've called upto 10 times in a day... when that happens they keep calling back to back.  They are calling for a debt that isn't mine (someone i don't know), and I have talked to them multiple times. They've told me before that they apologize & remove my #... but then told me at a later date that they have reason to believe that the person they're trying to contact is still available at this residence/#. They send me me mail once a month too.  Some callers are on the aggressive side and may make threats.  I havn't answered their call in over a year.

Again they hang up if call answered and do not leave message. I called number back and was Allied Interstate who refused to disclose what type of business they were. They also said they do not have a record of my number. I have no idea who they are or why they repeatedly call my landline. I will report them if they continue.
