Got call from this number but no response

this is Spectrotel.com a phone company soliciting

This company is Spectrotel. They are soliciting you for phone service. I spoke to Stan. He informed me they buy your account from your phone company for a discount rate. The contact number I was given was 1-888-773-9722 ext 7813 for Stan or www.spectrotel.com

We got a call today and the guy on the phone saying that he is from OneTouch and saying that one of our employee that he signed up for something. So I told him that we are on a Service Contract with Comcast for 2 years so I don't know who did you talk to but I'm the person who makes the decisions for the company. He said that tells me alot of things, and thank you for your time, he hung up.

I think they wanted me to switch to their service or something, but I knew, so I came right out and told him so he had no choice but stop what he is doing. I think they are calling people and saying that you signed up for something which obviously we didn't.

WATCHOUT PEOPLE!!!!

Spectrotel called our office.  Person on other end insisted that Spectrotel had a contract with Verizon to offer local service.  Their contract is for use of the Verizon equipment only, but by going with what they offer - supposedly as a Verizon service contractor - we'd have been stuck with Spectrotel as our service provider.  Talk about a smarmy approach.  Having worked for the Better Business Bureau, I recognized this as a scam phone call.  Less than an above-board business approach.  Don't get sucked into this one.

I got a call from them again today! 800 Service - 877-490-5559. He insist that he's with Spectrotel and wanted the person who is in charge with Verizon account. I told him that we are NO LONGER with Verizon and he still insist to talk to the account manager. I told him again the same thing, he hung up! Watch out !!!
