caller pretended to be from Wells Fargo fraud, had a lot of my contact info, tried to get my PIN number which immediately set off scam call alarm bells, i asked why he needed my PIN and then told him i wouldn’t give it to him because there’s no reason he needs it to cancel fraud charges and he hung up

Obviously if you think it is, then it probably wasn't. Banks don't just call every time you make a transaction, so I doubt our story. Probably a scammer tricking you and is probably the scammers email.

Scammer man using Ai voice generated womans voice pretended to be from Wells Fargo online fraud detection to verify some recent account activity. This is a scammer trying to get your pin# or other info to steal your money! Do not pick up the phone from this number!!!!! Banks will never call you about your recent activity.  Never verify your info with anyone period. Banks already have this info and should never ask you for it. Beware!!!!!
