Fearful, I nevertheless called and got a message from a woman from the Commonwealth of British Nations (?) re getting removed. Before she could remove me (who would have hung up the phone here?), I hung up...

yeah, i probably confirmed the fax as a good future recipient...

yet another bogus fax removal number. file a complaint with the fcc EVERY time you receive these faxes. they only concentrate on the complaints with the largest volume! let's work together and stop these.

I always call the number to supposedly get removed then I enter the number of the company using them for marketing.  Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't.

Unwanted faxes coming telling us to call 800-866-3507 to buy a healthcare plan.  It is targeted at lower income people but it does mention that it is not insurance although it uses a lot of words that would be used to describe an insurance plan.  I am sending a copy to the state insurance department and the attorney general's office.  The number that you are supposed to call to be removed from the list is 877-510-2766. Do not call, it is a waste of time and confirms that you have a fax on that number.  I am saving a large pile of these junk faxes to give to an attorney to sue.  Everyone should always save junk faxes for class action lawsuits.

Give them back a headache.

When you call a toll-free number - it cost that company money.  Calling a toll-free number DOES NOT BLOCK your caller ID.

The problem is if you keep calling their number, you are also violating the law.

Fax blasting for Central Travel and other travel deals - automated removal number but doesn't work because i still get faxes after 3 attempts to be removed.  Travel company is bogus -'Hernando' complained about me callling to complain!!!!!!

I called the travel company as well. After asking to have our number removed the girl that answered passed me to Hernando. He got upset that I would call during a funeral and told me to have some respect.

Curious, since I called during Michael Jackson's funeral!

I called back and sure enough, they were all upset that I would call back during MJ's funeral and hung up again.

After that, every time I called back they would put the phone beside the TV so I could hear the funeral... so I just kept the phone call going as well. As long as they were wasting a line on me they were losing business and paying for the call, so I was fine with it!

I would love to get involved with this case I work for the federal government and I also am reciving the fax.
