- AnnoyedReciprient| 1 replyReceived a call (according to call display) from 877-510-5849. They actually tried to also call using a masked #, that being 140-325-5880. Trying to promote reductions in credit card fees. This 877 # links to the following website www.creditcardsupport.net. Just going to that website and reading the really small print on the bottom indicates "a $995 service fee will be assessed against $2500 savings.". Judge for yourself how ligitimate a company like this is based on 2 simple things - 1.) they like to mask their in-bound calls (often not displaying a legitimate # & company name) and 2.) then the $995 service fee. If you're at home and don't have a problem answering these calls, start to challenge them! They will continue to call until eventually they get the message LOUD & CLEAR that the majority of us aren't interested and would rather not receive these calls/scams in the 1st place.
- carolWe received a call on a cell phone from this number, which is actually part and parcel of Lindquist Tax and Accounting, who claim to be a company that works with Visa and Mastercard to lower your credit card interest rate. Aside from all the Indian-accented men and women who claim to be "Mark" and "James" and "Jane", you have to look at their website legal: http://www.creditcardsupport.net/company/legal/index.html
This area says, at the very bottom, that they only can do business in the states (U.S.) listed....none say Canada......
This is another scam company which I will be contacting the R.C.M.P. in Canada regarding.....if anyone calls you from Credit Card Support or from Lindquist Tax and Accounting, do not give your credit card info to them no matter what they say...even if they spout some knowledge about you, they don't have what they need to charge your card - if they did, they wouldn't be calling you - they would just take your money from your card directly!- Caller: Lindquist Tax and Accounting and Credit Card Support
- Jaz| 1 replyThe man calling from 877-510-5849 called me 8 times last night. The few times I picked up to ask him to stop calling he uses the F-word repeatedly. I blocked the number which stopped him from calling but somehow he is able to call me again. He has already called 3 more times. WHY DON'T THEY JUST STOP!!!
- Caller: He didn't speak english very well but he has a thick Indian accent

- thisisapdDealt with one of these morons today. Called from 403-255-8807. After I asked a few questions he really got his back up and started swearing at me. Eventually disconnected after I entertained myself at his expense... but then called back from 877-510-5849 claiming to be some sort of telemarketing authority, stating that the FBI was on their way to see me for being abusive toward a telemarketer!
They called themselves both Lindquist and "Canadian Bank Services". Look forward to my next call from them!- Caller: Lindquist

- Larry LowenbergThis company phoned me. It was not solicited in anyway by myself
The company was Lingquist Tax Accounting. They phoned me offerring a credit card reduction service witch my banks confirmed is a scam. But before it was confirmed it was a scam, I gave them my card details because it seemed real enough. They knew alote about my card accounts and appeared to be lagit. How did they get my information I do not know? Maybe I gave them just enough to get into some system that helped them fool me. It was a slick play for my money. They wanted a one time fee of $895.00 to get the banks to reduce rates charged on my credit cards for life. So a little later I had to go to the trouble of cancelling all my cards.
I wrote them they note. Please close account as of now. Confermation Number is 51958, Larry Lowenberg. Do not do any work on my behalf regarding any credit card company I now hold or at any time in the future. I talked to CIBC and the Royal about your services and I was advised your company is a scam and to cancell all my cards.
Nice try you scamers. God will get you and make you pay. Have a nice day.

- Be aware!| 1 replyI received a phone call last night from Lindquist Tax and Accounting Services. I am usually very cautious about any type of telemarketing calls....I too, gave too much info. They said that they would work on my behalf to reduce my credit card interest rates to 6% or lower for life. This morning, I immediately closed my account. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. They called from a Calgary, Alberta number: 1-403-255-8807. I looked up the company: they are out of the U.S. The gentleman on the phone had a thick accent and claimed his name was John Love. He said that if I made a min. payment of $500 in the next few weeks, it would prove I was eligible to receive reduced rates....I can't believe I fell for this huge SCAM! Do not give out any info ever!

- heatherI received a message first and then a call stating you have a very sexy voice. I asked who it was and he said Mark Anderson. I told him I did not know a Mark Anderson and he replied well you know me know so you can talk to me.
I had received a call a few minutes before this from 1-403-255-8807 and it was a credit card company stating I could received a lower rate on my credit card. When I asked which card, he gave me the wrong company and when I stated I did not have a card from that company, he asked about my husband and I told him he obviously had the wrong # and hung up. They continued to call wanting to know why I had hung up so I had to block the # - JimThey (403 255 8807) have called at least ten times in the past two months and refuse to remove me from their list. - Gusi got called today and the caller advised me on how to save % on my credit card.
he mentioned that i paid off more than minimum monthly payments. i thought it was a scam and asked to call me back or is there a web site to view. He asked me to go to www.cbsnow.net and i could see they were from Arizona in the USA. they would only charge me if i got a lower rate from my credit card provider. they also put you through different agents to make it seem ligeit and say it is a celebration after they have scammed another sorry sap. i connected my to my credit card provider there was already $500 charge to my visa. i then had to cancel my card. note to all NEVER give out your information over the phone, no matter how good it sounds.- Caller: Lindquist Tax and Accounting

- Elaine replies to Be aware!I got the same guy. I told them I had to check with the CIBC and American Express. He passed me to someone else. I told them I had to check their company out as no one does anything for free. He told me it is now or never. I said I guess it is never then. He was not a happy camper. He has been calling back for a few weeks. I'm just hoping they don't have enough information (dumb me) to do anything with it.
- KassandraI had exactly the same phone call from 1-250-223-8594 he said I could get a lower interest rate I called my credit card company while I was on the phone with him and they told me that if I was interested in that not to talk to a third party and to call back when I've hung up with them. I told the guy on the phone about the fee that my credit card company warned me about and he said no that there was no fee. I proceeded to tell him that I had better ask my husband first. He commented with "UP YOURS!" and hung up on me.

- Kristal| 5 repliesHonestly this company is not a scam. We have hundreds of clients that are happy and satisfied. We are not a major credit card company. What we have is a call center and yes they are located in Pakistan...nothing illegal about that. I agree that yes they might be a little misleading by saying that they themselves are with Visa and Master card. They are sales people and we have a QA to monitor the calls they make and what they say. We are not looking to charge people, take your money and you never hear from us again. If we are not able to get you approved for a lower interest rate we WILL REFUND your money. We have a guarantee if we are not able to save you a min. of 2500 dollars we will also refund your money. If anyone is scamming you its your bank. Banks are completely against our company for 1 reason. I'm not sure you small minded people can even begin to understand this but here it is anyways. THEY WANT YOU TO PAY AS MUCH INTEREST AS POSSIBLE why? because thats how they make their money. So if who you want to trust is your bank then keep doing what you've been doing but just understand you will continue to be in the same situation that you've always been in because you choose to make no changes....
- fraud alert replies to Kristal| 3 repliesHow can you sleep at night? You never lowered ANYBODY's interest rate and you know it. Credit card companies (REAL ones that is) won't even talk to you. You take the fees and deliver nothing -- that's called STEALING in every country in the world!
Classic attempt to pull one over on 800 notes. Clearly your filthy scam is in trouble due to sites like this, that's why you're here trying to confuse people so you can steal their money over the phone. Go back to your third world boiler room noe since you can't get a real job.
Does your mom know you STEAL MONEY for a living??? - Kristal replies to fraud alert| 2 repliesWOW really?? I do not work in Pakistan. We are international therefore we have offices all over the world. YES we do lower peoples interest rates for them. Yes it's true you can do this yourself however not everyone has the confidence, time, or are even aware of this. So you pay us to do it for you. Just like you could clean your house yourself or you could pay someone to do it,just like when you hire a lawyer, you could represent yourself or you could pay someone to represent you. I sleep at night because I speak to people every day that are happy customers. The services doesn't work for everyone. It depends on your payment history. We charge people different amounts depending on how much debt the client has. However if the service does not work for you we WILL refund your money. You sir keep doing what you've been doing and pay those high interest rates like you always have...give the banks your money as if they need it and I'm truly sorry that you can not see past what your banker who makes 15 dollars hour says to you. And are company is not in trouble we are expanding..simpleton.
- Steph replies to KristalKristal, I see that the belittling attitude your telemarketers have is something that is encouraged through your companies employees. If you are trying to prove your company is legit and honorable you are certainly going about it the wrong way. If you can honestly say you are absolutely comfortable giving all your personal info to a stranger on the phone without any guarantee of security or legitimacy then perhaps the simpleton lies with you.
- anonymous replies to KristalKristal is a lying scammer shill. It has been ILLEGAL since 10/27/2010 to charge upfront fees for debt relief services http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/07/tsr.shtm
- uneasyI, too, got a call. I don't know why I didn't hang up. I usually do. Curious, I guess. 2 hours and 3 or 4 people later I had authorized a charge to my account. I do have a lower interest rate. With the same bank but not the same card. They negotiated a different card for me...not a lower rate on the card I had. I knew that I could have done that exact same thing for myself. However, the reason I had said yes was the promise that after 6 months the rate would be lowered even more (significantly)...for life...if I keep the account in good standing during this "trial period". I am nervously awaiting to see if that actually happens.
Of greater concern to me is a sequence of follow up calls I got and my foolish agreement to participate in an opportunity to earn money. All of these calls came at a time when I was busy with some personal stuff in my life and I didn't take the time to check them out. When I called them 2 weeks later to get information about what was happening with my "business", I was told that the person was busy with other clients and the one I talked to was very reassuring. Then she said she would have someone call me back to help me with a question I had. That was over 2 weeks ago and no call back yet.
I have an uneasy feeling that I may have been scammed but am hopeful that the "associated company" that I authorized the significant payment to will indeed come through with their promises. I am going to wait 2 more weeks and I will report back whether I have positive or negative results. I do hope that I will be able to say that I did not get scammed. But reading all these comments leaves me worried that I will be added to the list of fools. I just can't believe that I was so distracted by the other things happening in my life that I didn't think this one through as I normally would have.
Kristal, I am really trusting that the companies are legit. I would love to be able to write something supportive for you.- Caller: Lindquist Tax & Accounting
