CALLED ME FROM AN UNKNOWN NUMBER, AND LEFT A THREATENING MESSAGE ABOUT AN UNPAID LOAN.  TRACKED THE PHONE NUMBER DOWN TO UCS.  PAYDAY LOANS ARE ILLEGAL IN OUR STATE, AND SENT THEM A CERTIFIED CEASE AND DESIST LETTER.  SCAM!!! DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING.  I WILL FILE AN FDCPA VIOLATION IF I AM CONTACTED AGAIN.

Thank you for your post.  I received a threatening msg from this number, they do not identify themselves and mentions an order and a claim filed against my daughter.  Sounds like a bill collector to me.
Do you think she took out a pay day loan and defaulted on the loan or do you think it is a random call?

I strongly suspect the caller is a scammer trying to scare you into paying a debt you and your daughter don't owe.

Tell your daughter about the call.  If the debt is real she needs to pay.  But if its fake you both can ignore the calls.  The scammer will keep calling.  You may need a call blocker for your land line or a call blocking ap for your cell phone.
