It is Wells Fargo trying to sell you a loan.

They claim to be Wells Fargo. But beware it is a scammer.

Tax fraud message scam.

Claims to be Wells Fargo, all they have is a name and they are fishing for the rest of the information.

I don't know why everyone thinks this number is a scam. They are from Wells Fargo, I took an application with them and closed on a loan at a local bank.

Caller alleged he was calling from Wells Fargo Bank about a home improvement loan and a line of credit.  Told him I would do an in person branch visit if I decided to pursue the options. I hung up an called Wells Fargo, they have never heard of the number

It was from Eric Conroe of WFB.  He left a message re personal loans for debt consolidation. I haven't applied for anything.

Tried to get me to consolidate my loans through him, Orville or something was the name. Told him if i wanted to do that it would be at a branch location.

Said they were from Wells fargo, regarding loan consolidations, Said their name quickly so I couldn't understand. Sounded suspicious

Says he was from wells fargo and wanted me to give him personal info to see what interest rate a new loan would be.... I told him i would give him a call back when think i need to consolidate; me give my info over the phone? Really people??? How stupid do i sound over the phone??? Hahahah

Man claiming to be from Wells Fargo wanted to discuss Debt Consolidation loan.  Didn't sound legit.  Pretty certain it's a scam

Claimed to be from Wells Fargo. Called Wells Fargo to report suspicious call. They confirmed it is a fraudulent number not associated with Wells Fargo. Do not give out any personal information to this caller!

A guy called me 3 times. One after another, claimed he was from Wells Fargo. This felt supicious so I told him
Idk what he was offering but no thanks.

Called. Left no message. Called the number back and the message said “Welcome to Wells a Fargo. Please enter your party’s 6 digit extension now.”
I tested both entering a few phony 6 digits numbers  as well as entering nothing at all and the subsequent IVR sequence was always the same whether I pressed something or not:

“We are sorry, the extension you entered is invalid - please re-enter the extension for the representative you would like to reach.”

“This call may be monitored or recorded.”

“Welcome to Wells Fargo. Our offices are now closed. Our hours of operation are Monday and Tuesday f10am-7pm and Wednesday through Friday 8am-5pm Central time. Please call us back during our regular business hours.”

Called the real Wells Fargo number and spoke with a member of their fraud team. The phone number that called me is not a Wells Fargo number and I was advised that it is a phishing scam.
The representative instructed me to send an email with all the information to reportphish@wellsfargo.com and they will file a claim for fraud. You all may want to do the same so they can try to thwart any fraud activity before these bozos get away with a trusting someone’s nest egg. No need to give them your account number or anything in the email, of course. Just your name, that you are a Wells Fargo customer and how you prefer to be contacted.

Yes, they are wanting you to consolidate your loans... It isn't a scam. I told them no. lol
