Got a call from this number. It was Chase Home Finance and they left an automated message to confirm my fax was received. Nice service!

Same as everyone, Chase Bank confirming a fax receipt.

Received the call on January 6, 2015 from an unknown caller and of course did not answer. Listened to the message that requested I provide renewal homeowner insurance information by December 23, 2014 - yes, 12/23/2014. As of Dec 23 our mortgage was paid off and the title was transferred to the new owners! We have found Chase departments cannot communicate with each other during our attempt to negotiate a loan modification. However, this is absolutely ridiculous; how can they not have notified all the departments the loan has been paid in full? What a group of idiots; good luck to any of you who must deal with them.

Hmmm. I got the same call.  When I called back there was a fast busy signal.  So I called the number on my statement and they told me everything was fine, they hadn't called me.  It sounds fishy to me....

Beware off this scam they are useing a spoof phone number where it can show any number they want to on people's caller ID. Google spoof phone numbers report them

Said it was Chase and we had until July 15 to send them proof of homeowners insurance by fax or online  (today is July 15). The web address was mycoverageinfo.com.

I don't buy this for a second.  I have been with Chase for a long time and they NEVER call asking me for information.  Just like the IRS NEVER calls.  If they need new information they will send you a letter requesting it.  And if you haven't changed insurance recently, Chase and your insurance company already communicate information so they have all of your info.  Lastly....notice at the end of the recording they say they can always help you find new insurance..... People, please don't believe 98% of the phone calls you get.

Validating that a number is legitimate doesn't reassure call recipients the caller is who they claim to be, since scammers constantly spoof bank numbers in an attempt to gain access to your account info.
Never trust the caller will be who they say they are, always call from an official number to verify they called you.

Call Chase directly on their 800-935-9935 number.  It definitely is a phishing call, pretending to be Chase, trying to get your personal information.  Chase confirmed it as such.  They definitely didn't need my insurance information!  They said so.

This is NOT Chase, even though they claim to be. Do NOT send them anything, call them back, answer their calls, or fax them anything. If you want to deal with Chase, go DIRECTLY TO THE CHASE.COM WEBSITE. NO OTHER SITE IS LEGITIMATE.
