Yeah These people are bottom feeders who buy closed checking accounts with a negative balance and wait several years before collecting in order to maximumize the greatest amount of interest and fees in addition to the amount owed.  Furthermore this waiting game allows a greater time for  your old records to get tossed and you loose your documentation.

was told by my bank that the collection was sold to these people. when i got their number from the bank, i wanted to try and settle up. i called and left a message but never got a return call. its been six months and since i can't get anyone i can't get a new account anywhere

tried to open an account with US Bank was denied because of an old closed,paid in full account through US Bank that was closed 01/08. This so called company are scammers that check revolving accounts that have been already legally paid in full for less than the full balance.

So what do you do? These morons want $275 to fix an account that I think was only a few dollars in the negative.

I have called them & left a voicemail saying that after talking to a csr at a bank I had an account with & owed money to & eventually closed out my checking account,the female customer service rep from this bank said they "sold my account to American Debt Sales". When I called them requesting a call back to verify the info given to me by the customer service rep, they never did.For three straight days I left my name & number on their voicemail, but no one ever returned the call.Bottom feeders alright! Scumbags going after dead beat scumbags who owe some business money!

I am having the same problem with them.  I am giong to the bank that sold my debt to them today and I am going to find out how they contact these lowlifes and I will try to contact them that way.  Then  while I am there I am going to investigate what the banks privacy policys are for their members and wheather this sale violated them.  Then I may contact a lawyer.

First off, to Moma, give a real name coward and before you go cursing people, get the facts.  I have been contacted by this company for a note or line of credit from US Bank that I did not ever have.  They sounded fishy to me so I contacted US Bank and they said I have never had any loan with them.  These people threatened me with their attorney, but when I asked the attorneys name, said it was none of my business.  Be leary
