Just got a call from this number (sounded like he had a Middle Eastern accent) stating that he was calling from "Windows" and they had notice some difficulty with my computer, ie: That I had picked up a virus and not to worry he could show me where the problem was and remove the virus.( He would need access to my computer in order to do this.) I told him I was not interested and hung up the phone. This is a scam in no uncertain terms. Do not allow anyone to remotely control your computer.  . .To bad there is no option for SPAM or SCAM, to answer the question Call Type on this page. I chose Unknown but it was a scam.

The recorder picked up the caller saying in progress, ...Research, on behalf of AAA and they are conducting an automated survey on my recent experience calling AAA on (and a mechanical voice inserted yesterday's date).  I should press 1 if it was I who contacted AAA, 2 if it was a family member, 3 if no one contacted AAA.  This was repeated about three times, then she said, she didn't understand my last entry, and I should contact their technical support at 800-467-0047.  Then, she said, good bye.  The woman's voice was pleasant, professional, and very convincing.  One could take her seriously, if it wasn't for the goofy survey, and the number she gave to call.

I posted the above message yesterday as a scam call.  I mentioned the incident to my wife this morning and she said she did call AAA  a couple of days ago. To verify the call, she called AAA  and they said, the call was legitimate, and they do use third party agencies.  So, it seems scammers can emulate any number on the caller id, and RM DUNN above may have been called by a scammer emulating the 877-573-0202 number claiming to be from "Windows" to fix his computer.

I got call from the number, there was a phone trap on it even though they did not talk. They police department has this number. This is part of the data breach which you may have heard in the news this weekend, They are calling from stolen information from a data breach.  Consider it a scam on any story they want to tell you.

I called AAA yesterday and received this call today, didn't answer. Checked the number on this site today and saw that it was a survey and now I wish I had answered because the AAA employee who helped me was so nice and helpful! Oh well, next time.

Is it possible to put name as 800 -800-0000 and when a call gets to you it shows that number as if it was the callers name name (use numeric name instead of alphabet). Wow! Life just got ugly.

In any case I believe the AAA angle, because I called them yesterday.

Instead of wasting money on these surveys, companies should just hire more agents, or lower rates.

    Duh.

Apple has good reputation and does not use gimmicky surveys each time you buy a song.

On a side note, no amount of surveys will rescue Comcast, not even if the POPE was conducting the survey. LOL.

    Could be real, but annoying
This is the third unsolicited call I have gotten this morning. The other two calls showed up as known spammers and had called here previously, so I was quite prepared to believe the worst. I let this call ring through to voice mail. It was an Auto Club survey. Since I did call AAA yesterday. I believe the call was legit. The questions didn't ask for any personal information and any answers would have been useless to anyone not rating their services. There were a couple of annoying things about the call, though. First, there was no identity given on Caller ID. If there had been I might have answered. Second, the automated survey voice just chattered away on voice mail. It asked questions and then repeated the instructions multiple times--apparently unable to recognize that it had gone over the voice mail.
