Got a call at 8:00 in the morning on June 4th where the phone rang over 30 times as my answering machine was off. Did a *69 to trace the phone number & got 877-576-0700. Called the number & Valerie from ICR answered. Asked why they woke me up & she asked for my number. She was after a person for debt collection that has never been registered to my telephone, does not live at my address of 24 years & has nothing to do with me. Then they asked if I knew the female that they were after. When I explained that I don't know & requested their corporate information so I could send a certified letter for them not to call she refused saying I had no right to that information. Then she lied saying that my telephone belonged to this person that they were after. Researched on the internet & found ICR to in fact be Immediate Credit Recovery Inc. (ICR Inc.) 169 Myers Corners Rd. Suite 110, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. She said she would remove my number from their list. She says it's removed now & that I will not get anymore calls. Next morning June 5 this very same Valerie calls again at 8:00 AM waking me up but this time my answering machine was on & she hung up on it after a long pause where she left no message. Called them again & got lied to. She wanted my account number & basically played dumb to harass me as much as possible. Explained to her that she woke me up yesterday & that she had promised to remove my number & not call anymore. She then lied saying she didn't see my number in the system to which I replied then how did she just call me again. Finally told her just like I did yesterday that I wanted to know what ICR stood for & finally after much protest she asked why & I told her so I could send a certified letter to make her stop calling me & that I had a right to this information under the law. She then asked for my account number to which I replied that I had none. Yesterday she used this excuse to deny me the information. So today I explained to her that I already researched & knew who they were & I wanted the corporate address. So she goes into this song & dance and said that it depends on what the debt is & wanted my account number. Told her that I had no account, owed no debt, that my telephone is not registered to this person that they were after & that their behavior was unjustified telephone harassment. Yesterday I told them that I work a late shift & that the time of their call was a problem. Again I demanded the address to send a certified letter. Finally Valerie gives me a lousy P.O. box 1900, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. Have no doubt that these morons will keep calling even though they know that I am not the person that they are after & that the person they seek does not live at my address or have any affiliation with me. Immediate Credit Recovery is a nasty, rude, law skirting outfit & the only way to stop them is to send a certified letter telling them not to call. My certified letter will be going to 169 Myers Road not some P.O. box. It's wrong that I have to burn my gasoline & spend my hard earned money to send a certified letter to make these goons stop harassing me when I am not the person they seek but it's the only way under the corrupt system in this country to make them stop. This happens all of the time. They will sell the bad information to another debt collector & in about 6 months I will be going through this again even though all of them know that the person that they are after does not live here & even though they know that my telephone was never registered to this person. All it takes is for someone to list a bogus former address & these people use computers to tie that address to a phone & they don't care that the phone record name does not match the person they are after. The laws need to be changed to put a stop to this. They also should never be allowed to call so early in the morning since they are constantly calling the wrong person. As for me I will be filing an FTC complaint if they call again because the certified letter is in the mail today.

YES!! These idiots call me EVERY DAY! MORE THAN ONCE! I answered only one day and the guy on the other end asked me if I had any intention in paying my years over due student balance at my local college. I told him it was not in my budget. He said, "OK, I'll let *** (<---name of school here)know so they can further there options on retrieving the debt." I then replyed, "does this mean you will no longer be trying to retreive it from me and I don't have to have you call me every day any more?" he told me that is exactly right. I still to this day, get calls from them every single day!

Got a call at 6:55am but they hung up before I could get to the phone.  Called back and spoke to some ignorant-sounding lady.  I informed her that calling at this hour is illegal under both Colorado state and Federal law, and not to call me so early ever again.  She apologized profusely and said it would never happen again and I hung up on her.  Didn't get to find out what or who she wanted.

This number calls me several times a week...I'm not here all the time, so they may call more often than I know.  I have picked up the phone a couple of times, and each time it's a recording...at which time I hung up.    Bad enough they call so often, but they don't have the courtesy to even have a live person on the phont........now I just ignore it.........

I suspect that you are a shill, attempting to mislead people about this caller.  But for the purpose of discussion, let us assume that I am wrong about you.

You seriously need to educate yourself about handling such matters.  

First, you shouldn't give them ANY information.  You should request the name of their agency, address, and phone.  Then you should tell them that you will be in touch by mail, and that they are not to contact you by phone.

If they refuse to give you this information, then you can pretty well assume that they are a scammer.  I suggest telling them that, and then hanging up.

Send them a letter requesting validation.  If they do not respond as provided in law, game over.
