Blocked computer

Didn't receive a call but a verbal flag from Microsoft stating a possibility that my PC was under a spyware hacker attack, & that I should call this #, if I attempted to close out the message I would get locked out of the computer.  I immediately shut off the power to the PC, waited a few minutes, started it up and ran a full virus scan, so far no issues but will be much more careful when deciding to read online news updates,

This is a bogus "service" that will install ACTUAL viruses on your computer.   DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY AND DO NOT ALLOW THEM ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER.   The message comes from a bogus web page, not from your operating system.

I did not receive a call from this number, but while visiting a legitimate web site I clicked on a sidebar news headline and instantly got a new screen with a male voice warning me that my computer was just attacked by In-spyware. Do not respond to any of his demands, do not call the phone number. Do a hard shutdown (hold on/off button 10 seconds) then turn on computer, go to System Restore, I selected an earlier date from 5 days ago, do the restore. Be sure to do Malware and Defender full scans. There were no issues...lesson learned...do not click on anything you did not initiate!

This message came up to call this number. Did a search on the number in another device it appears to be a spyware warning and it appears to have come from Russia??? Did a manual hard
Shutdown and will attempt to restore to earlier date. Hope it works as that is what I read from another user that had thus hapoen
