Classic scam. They leave a message on my voice mail saying legal action is being taken against you (or someone you know/used to date) and that you need to call this number 877-629-1256 in ref to some other number or a decision will be made without your consent.

So this is a scam?

I just got a call from this number too. If it was legit, I believe they would say where they are from. This is a scam as far as I am Concerned

They called my dad (I’m a JR) looking for me.  No company name given.  Only some reference number.  Guys name given, Russell.

Called me twice. Didn’t even have my name right. Completely different last named. Said the “firm” was going to take legal action against me if I didn’t call back. If it was seriously they probably would have had my legal name.

Oh and different reference numbers each time.

Called me looking for my mother left no business name only that they were looking for my mom regarding a legal action with a ref. #.  I have worked in both collections and the legal industry.  If this was legit they would at least say that this was regarding a private business matter and that the intended person needed to call back as soon as possible.  They would not be able to release any other information other than that, not even that it regarded a legal matter.  IT IS A SCAM.

calls my private number and now calling my work number. how did they obtain my work number do not know. but doesn't give a ref number only a name of Russell and tel is 877 629 1256

Received a suspicious call from a guy named Russell who said he is calling from National Processing Center.  He stated he was given a list of reference numbers to call for a person they were looking for.  When pressed what National Processing Center was (job agency? etc), he was unable to provide an answer about the so-called company.  He just said he didnt have any info and to call some 877 629 1256 # he gave me.  HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS.

They left me a message saying a name that was nobody I'd ever heard of, with the same scam scare tactic of "24 hour notice" that if I don't call back, a legal decision will be made without me.  Well, not me, the call was looking for someone I didn't know.

Voicemail from this company in reference to a complaint that has been forwarded to the office.  I called and Kirk said he was representing a bank, collecting unpaid credit card debt from 2007.  He gave me an email address- darandassociates.org.  DAR and Associates, based in California.  Called from 2 different 319 area codes plus 877-629-1256.

The first call I received from this scam artist was the exact day we had a snow storm here. It was snowing since the night before and the day they called me, it was so bad out that you couldn't even see the house across the street. My voicemail said they tried to deliver papers to my house twice that morning! Well I was working from home and with a snow storm I know 100% that there was no one knocking at my door!
the young lady who called me gave me a bogus case number and she used my maiden name. I have been married going on 6 years. anyway I googled and thought I'd share my account on here as well. I googled the phone number on my caller ID of the young lady who called me and she is out of READING, PA.
if that matters.
