- BradThese guys are definately scam artists. They have called me a number of times trying to collect on a loan from a company that I've never even heard of, stating that I defaulted on the loan. Every time I ask for information regarding this alleged loan, they provide me with a different issuing date and dollar amount. The last time I spoke to them, they refused to give me any information regarding the loan at all...they just demanded I pay it back (pretty odd for a "collection agency"', huh??). I am refusing to take any further calls from them, and am filing with my state's Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau.
- Caller: 'Legal Department'...they state 'they don't have a company name'
- Call type: Debt collector
- ZionbobI got a call saying my information had been used on fraudulent contracts by a friend, and they quoted her name. I asked for their name, etc. Said they are the legal dept. for United Cash Services out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and their website is www.paydayloans.com.

- donnabear replies to Susan Moriarty| 1 replyI received a phone call from this no. also said if i don't reply i was going to jail
the person that's calling my home is Robert Davis. I'm getting sick of this. - Suec| 1 replyI am so tired of this scam! I get at least two calls a month from East Indian men with American names, saying they need my attorny's information because of payday loans taken out by me that were not repaid. In the past I have contacted the FBI IC3 Unit, FCC, FTC, Better Business Bureau, my local police, and local District Attorney. No one seems to be able to even identify these people let alone shut them down or prosecute. The local District Attorney conveyed that they just did'nt have the money to investigate.

- SamanthaSuch a scam! I get calls like this all the time! I can barely understand what they are saying. They said that I must call them back IMMEDIATELY and if I don't they wish me good luck. The number shows up as 1000. They called me 10 times today! It's annoying!
- tanya| 1 replyI got a phone call saying I owed a debt and my mother was involved too! They had her name. Sad thing is I believed them and sent them money! $500 bucks! Now I cant even get in touch with them! Scam!
- Caller: Attorney's office
- Call type: Debt collector
- A.TI received a phone call from a Brian in the legal department telling me my name was used as a reference for a co-worker. Both of us needed to call him back or else. Well I figured I would play with them so I called several times in a row and gave them made up phone numbers or asked ridiculous questions and telling each new person I got ahold of that he souned like the other indian. It is set up like a business because I always got the message "this called is recorded for security purposes". There was a couple of times I did not even get an answer just a message "the person at this extension is not available." I guess they messed with the wrong girl. Bring it on!

- Dave Swancott replies to SuecSue,
My name is Dave Swancott and I work for the Brighton,NY Police Department. I am currently investigating harassing phone calls from a "legal firm" representing "United Cash Services" with a call back number of 1-877-630-0693. I have been in touch with the FTC and filed a complaint. However, they did not seem too concerned and I was told there needs to be a pattern of complaints. Do you remember when you contacted them? And what state are you in? If you are not comfortable leaving information on this site you can reach me at (585) 784-5193. Thank you. - Dave Swancott replies to Susan MoriartyPlease report this to the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov. Without complaints to FTC this will continue.
