Threatening collection call was left by Robert Kinsbury.
When I returned the call a female answered. I asked her for the name of the business,  phone number including a real area code and a physical addresss. She then put me on hold and James came on the line. I asked him the same questions and he said they would take me off the list and hung up.

Know one would answer the questions though.

This number called me 877-630-6649 Saying they are sueing me and my ex sister inlaw claiming we did a joint Pay Day Loan together I have no info or have not seen my exsister inlaw in 2 years.they said this happened in May 2012.

I received a phone call today

This company keeps calling my place of business stating they are going to press criminal charges for "bounced" checks. This is in regards to a payday loan that I filed bankruptcy on. In the state I live in they cannot criminally prosecute unless the state brings the charges and in my state they do not prosecute for unpaid payday loans as they consider it defaulting on a loan rather than a bounced check.
I am trying to find a way to sue them for the harassment but as usual normal people have no recourse except to be harassed and harangued.

yes they keep calling my job.. is there a fax number that i can send them a written statement to stop calling ?

I have been harrased by this number for "felony check fraud" in connection to my elderly mothers payday loan. Claiming that they are on way to my house. Ha, never showed. Then got a call for personal info from another number, hung up.

I got a call from them this morning.  Blocked number so I didn't pick up.  They left a message saying they were calling from the Whatcom County Legal Services and to call the claim services back at 877-630-6649.  Googled that name and nothing came up.  They said they are calling about check fraud.  I haven't cashed a check in over 2 years.  Gave me a docket number which I researched and it doesn't exist.

They called and left a message on my voicemail. Stating that they were calling from my county's legal service, which made me concerned. Then mention two of my friends that I normally use as references. So when I called back, they needed my phone number to look up my information. Stated that a judgment had been filed on a payday loan I had 3.5 yrs ago. I just made arrangements to pay this with a collection agency in December. When I mention that, they say "I don't see anything in the system." Then they start explaining how the fees and charges have gone from $1203.00 to $3621.00. Of course when I told them I couldn't pay, they tranfered me twice to someone who "could work something out for me". I stated I could pay $100 a month for the reduced rate of $1500. He says that he's not supposed to extend it longer than 90days. Then he "puts me on hold" (while he allows me to hear him talking to his "supervisor" and tell him that I can only afford $100.00 a month). Well, I have never met a legal system or clooection agency who cared about if I had to feed my kids, so I hung up. I have had this sort of thing happen before and I will not fall for the "collection game". And... I looked it up, you can not be served over the phone!!!

The same place keeps calling me saying I committed check fraud for something that I'm paying for through collections they keep harassing me.

recieved my Paid in Full Letter today and forms saying all action is closed, dont see what the issue is i moved away and closed that bank account, glad i got this trouble taken care of

called me demanding info for my brother and sister-in-law. would not give company name or address.

The same happen to me they threaten me...They said i had committed fraud and that i was going to be taken to court and serve jail time if I was unwilling to response ...in the end i was paying them 297.50 for a loan i took out in a different state. over whelmed

This place claims I owe them money. So they left a message on my sisters answering machine saying they would press charges against her too. I called them back and I talked to Jeff Houser and then he sent me to Mr. Goldstein who claims I'm lying an he knows this because his phone turned red which is what happens we people lie to him. They said I took out a payday loan and that the checks didn't clear to pay back the loan and it's wire fraud. Then he went on to tell me he would settle with me today for only $300.00 if I paid right then, org. amount was $961.21. I contacted my bank, and a credit protection thing that I added a few years ago, both of which claim this is a scam and its been every where. They will clean out your account!!! I'm also going to file a police report, this was advised by my bank, the credit protection, and my attorney.

This seems to be completely fraudulent

Mr. Russell and his "associate" started leaving messages on my phone a few days ago. Each time they call they claim to be calling from my county's legal office regarding a check fraud claim against me. This is BS because each time they call its supposedly their final call.....and I've been getting calls each day since. Their tactics are to sound stern, claim to be calling from your county, threaten you to return their call asap, and give you a non-existent docket number. Their goal is to do everything possible to get your account number. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!!!!

They were stupid enough to call me on President's Day and claim they were from the county legal services, regarding a fax that they received about my "case".  There wasn't an attorney's office open for 2,000 miles on the holiday.  I just don't answer the phone.
