I have got so many calls from them saying they are serving me papers for a fraudulent check I wrote.   I ask them for all the information pertaining to the check or to produce a copy of the check to me, but they never have.   I told them to come on out and serve me.    Needless to say, I have never seen them.  Just keep getting phone calls.   They have contacted family members and left very detailed messages on answering machines at their house.   I have since turned the tapes and my recorded messages over to an attorney.   The attorney told me it is not legal to speak to anyone else about a personal business matter.   He said the company's name is ACS.

I have received calls from them in regards to settling an account with a payday lender, they claimed they were going to file for a civil suit here in my home county. They have contacted a friend of mine and left a very detailed message with her regarding this situation and my friend was concerned. Are they legit? Where I live here in MD payday loans are prohibited so I wonder if they could file any type of legal action.

They are in facat scumbag debt collectors.  They purchased debt whether legit or not and have very articulate and convincing representatives call people with the borderline guise of being an attorney.  They use verbage to make it sound credible and authentic.....DON'T BE FOOLED!  don't answer or return their calls.  Eventually they will go away, once they find out you are on to them.  Don't bother getting into a verbal confrontation as that will just leave you with a headache.  They are the lowest profession possible, they lie, they cheat, they misrepresent and overall just very very evil people.  Stay away! Be warned!

I have a great deal of experience when it comes to collections at least 15 year or more and these are they type of collectors we are told not to become . I do not know what company would hire collectors like these nor what company would stand behind these collectors and the practices they do . I have been told my wages are going to garnished when I have not even been working I was laid off from my previous job which is why I defaulted on the loan it was not by choice I hit a financial wall and did not have the means to pay further more I have been a collections manager and represented my company in small claims court in which I had people served and subpoena for court and I only got a judgement when the person did not show up in court otherwise most King County Judges will send you to Mediation right away and won't even here the case 99 times out of hundred you are set up on payment plans then if you default on a payment plan they can petition the civil docket to garnish wages seems to me like these collectors that are calling from this company try to scare people and say mean and nasty things and if the company that hired them stand behind these types of tactics whats that say about them as a company Hmmmm something to think about right?

You really can be pursued legally for debts. avoid your problems and youll get judgements which can garnish wages freeze bank accounts and garnish wages. Pay your bills and you wont get calls

Check your state's law on wage garnishment. A court will usually only garnish you for taxes owed. That is all.
