It pop up on my computer says my computer needed to deactivate my pops up. And to call century link customer service.

Yes I am getting the popup on my computer saying to call this number. It is a scam and I need to remove this malware from my computer! The question is how did it infect me?

Big scam.  Don't know how it infected my pc.  They may post to this page, so be careful.

The 1-877-630-7377 is BIG Scam. They put spyware on my computer and blocked a browser from downloading any webpage other than their own webpage instructed me to call. They claimed to be an authorized Microsoft tech. I couldn't close the windows, and my computer froze.  This type of spyware was not detected by Window Defender because the program was only activated when launching a browser.  Luckily I was able to remove the spyware manually.
