YUP if they are threatening to lock your husband up over a debt then you KNOW it's a scam. A credit agency wouldn't do this sort of thing because they CAN'T lock anyone up over money owed. There is no debtors prison, it's against the law.

A nameless person for Hawthorn Redman Mediation called me and left me the 800-656-5692 to call.  They stated that legal action was being brought against me pertaining to a returned bank item and that I was to call them.  They ended the voice message by stating "consider yourself legally notified."  I called the number and someone asked for my phone number.  I stated I had concerns with them being legit and that I wanted their website.  The lady said if you don't give me your number I can't tell you what our call was about and hung up on me.  Bogus

I received the same message on my cell. The nunber they called from was +1 (800) 656-5692

For the last couple of days I've been getting the same message from (800) 656-5692 and the caller (who claimed is a Jeremy Stein or some such name) is claiming the same stuff regarding I've been legally served in regarding a checking account matter, etc. When calling this number I just get a recording of the company name of Hawthorne-Redman Mediation and to leave a message even after trying their operator. This is pure nonsense and fraud I'm assuming because I have never had an issue with any of my bank accounts, etc. And I don't have any debt-related issues. If I can get a "live" person from this criminal organization I'll tell them I will notify the FBI.

Received multiple calls in just 2 days (Jeremy Stein & Lisa Moore). They left msgs saying they were collecting a debt from a previously returned check. They also stated that they had papers to serve me & that I should consider myself legally notified. Tried to return calls multiple times, but always got a recording. Finally was able to reach Lisa Moore who quickly realized they were threatening the wrong person. She read off an SSN that was not even remotely related to mine. They are using multiple numbers but are actually out of New York. Numbers also called from are 800-721-3545, 800-633-2779, 716-404-4685. Don't let bully you!

They left a message today from this # 1-800-721-3545 about serving me papers & progressing forward if I didn't call back. I tried reaching them twice to leave a message but the call disconnected b4 u could. 3rd time I was able to leave a message w/ my concern as to the referrence of the call. No answer back.

I also had a missed call and voice mail from the 1-800-721-3545 stating I have been legally notified and if I don't return the call in 24 hours they will take further action. I fell for this type of call several months ago and authorized for funds to be released from my bank account and my bank stopped the transaction and notified me that this company was being investigated for fraud. Since then I just ignore or blocks their calls. IT'S A SCAM!!!
