Came up on computer screen as Trojan virus infection Error Code 0X8024402C from Microsoft. Computer froze. A young fellow with a foreign accent said they could help us but if it was an infection it would cost $99.00.  We said "no, thank you," and hung up. So far, our computer seems to be okay.  This occurred on 05/13/17.

Also came up on my computer screen as Trojan virus infection. I did not call the number listed but am going to call the Microsoft number I found on the Internet for Microsoft (not the same phone number either).  Problem is every time I try to get on Microsoft EDGE, that same screen comes up . . .. GRRR!

Dont call this number!! This is a fake microsoft scam!! All they will do is steal your personal info and credit card info!!

Just like all the above.  Called the number to confirm it was an Indian scam.  It is! Hung up and blocked the number.
