Called said that our online listing was expiring and that they want to send us our final invoice. WHAT ONLINE LISTING... Seems like a scam

I have had both one saying that my online listing was about to expire. That was from a ripoff company by the name of American business online the other would not answer. What ever the case it is a scam.

They call We answer to a dead line. We are a business

Keeps calling and hangs up

Called my kids' line when no one was home.  Did not leave a message on voice mail.

If it is American Business. I have threaten to take a base ball bat to them and beat the crap out of them.

Called, no answer.  Called it back. Said it was an outbound calling center and to hang up and call the appropriate customer service number.

just got a call asking where to send final invoice. What a joke..  Scam Scam

Called my kid's UNPUBLISHED number just shortly after noon today.  I answered, and no one was there.

Called my business asking for the manager.  I said I was the manager.  Asked me if I wanted to close out my account or renew it. I told them I had never heard of them.  The lady said I've had an account for the past 2 yrs and then asked for the manager's name.  I asked how she could not have any info if I had an account with them.  Then I bluntly told the lady she was scamming me.  She changed her attitude and told me she was not a scammer and said, "Let's see how you feel when you get the bill in the mail," then promptly hung up before I could say anything. Yeah..

Called asking for the manager from 7 years ago.  Told her I'm the manager.  Said she wanted to know if we wanted to close our account listing and get the final bill or continue the ad.  Told her we never signed up for anything.  She said we've had an ad for 2 years.  I told her I'm the only one working here and I've been here for almost 4 years.  She said they have our information.  I asked her when we signed up.  She said she didn't know she just does the billing.  I told her she can't even tell me when I signed up for an ad but yet she wants me to pay for it.  She said they have a recording from when we signed up and that she would call me back with it.  I'm sure I'll never hear back with a recording.

I just got the same call. I told her that I would have to dig up the contract if this was true, and she said that it was a binding verbal contract. When I asked her what our customer number was, she read my phone number to me. I told her that I would need to call the owner of the business, and probably a lawyer, and for her to call me back. If she does call back, I will ask her to prove the services provided, and I will ask to hear the voice recording so that I can verify who it was that agreed to this scam. Sure got my blood pumping.
