- SA| 1 replyA guy with a heavy Middle-Eastern accent claimed I won something in a drawing from some prize center. He told me that he had my hand-written entry form right in front of him (I never fill out those things) and even read the information off of it. He calls every day and even calls right back after I hang up on him.
- Playamom replies to SAI received the same phone call. He called back twice, even after I hung up on him.
- AHSATXsame as above: Middle-Eastern male called around midday to say I had won some prizes for filling something out last December. He went on to list these prizes: Ford Explorer, a 27-inch TV, a vacation package, etc.
- BCWe also received a call from this number today with the same spiel (we had filled some coupon, won prizes - unlikely as we don't do that sort of thing). We asked if we could call back and he gave the same number and his name as William Anderson (this seems unlikely as well). He said he was calling on behalf of NRG California, whatever that is.
- AAASATXI also recieved a couple of calls from these people. They kept calling back after I told them I was not interested and hung up. They got upset and started cursing as well. If I get another call I am going to contact a lawyer and sue. I told them not contact me and from actually being a telemarketer in the past (sorry), it is illegal for anyone to contact you after you have stated verbaly "do not call".

- lonegunmanmine sounds the worst...he kept calling for over 2 weeks, and even had someone else call last week to say that i had won a car as well! when i confronted him this morning, he said, "wow, you are a lucky guy". the thing that really struck me was how they ended up using a local phone number to mask their number on my caller id. i googled the local number, and actually drove by the house yesterday. After he called today, i called the local p.d., put in a report, and had them deal with it. they ended up going by the local house, and the owner told them a similar story to mine, except he dug deeper...this is a time share company that says that you have "won" when it is just a sales gimmick. i feel bad for this other local guy since his number is appearing on the caller id. beware! if you get a call from this guy, tell him you want off of the list, and that it is illegal to keep getting calls!

- DL2 phone calls today from same company - heavy accented male - got angry with me when I would not divulge annual income. We also never made out a "slip". Was given appointment and confirmation # to go to get my 3 "prizes". They was asked to not call again. I did ask what NGC stood for and was told - National Gifting Center in California. They became angry when I mentioned the word SCAM!

- jcSame as everyone else. Any ideas on how to stop the calls from this guy?

- JudiReceived call about noon -- said no and hung up. Have had 3-4 calls since then (now 2:42) with hang-ups when my answering machine picks up
- MaineHe has called about 5 times. Each time I say I am not interested, but he keeps calling back. I questioned his story as he did not have my first name and I do not fill out "cards". He named a local business (a motel) where I could pick up my prizes, however, he could not mail them to me. He said our call was being recorded by the BBB and I told him that the BBB was not a Gov. organization and I think that it should be recorded for the FBI. That seemed to throw him off. He named a number of companies that use him ie American Airlines, Applebees, etc. so I asked why multi million dollar companies would use a 3rd party to give away prizes. I also asked why, if I did fill out a card, did it not have my first name any why did it take so long to find out (last December) Needless to say he kept trying to change the subject. My hunch is that if I went to the hotel to "pick up" my prizes I would be told that there has been a minor complication and for a small fee they could clear it up. I will contact the PD and FBI.
