They left a message claiming they are PG&E. Sales call having nothing to do with PG&E.

Caller said he was going to turn off my power for non payment.

this was a robocall that said they were going to shut off power for non-payment. We have autopay so I figured it was BS. I cheched PGE directly and, sure as [***]. we are current.

Pretending to be PG&E needing overdue payment to avoid power shutoff today. Gave fake 888 number to call to make payment to.  Both numbers are frauds.

Got a call from this number today and did not answer. They did not leave a message.
I called PG&E to ask why they were calling (supposedly it's PG&E customer service)
They have no reason for this call and said scammers sometimes use this number. I have blocked the number. PG&E said they don't use this number very often. It's a scam.

Automated said they were pg&e and were going to shut off power in 30 minutes

Strike 1: Caller ID misspelled Pacific Gas and Electric.

Strike 2: Voicemail received was

Strike 3: Google search on this number first result was list of contact numbers on a non PGE website. Also this result on 800 notes. Therefore blocked this caller.

Scammers: You’re out!

I just paid my PG&E bill. I know it's not past due and this isn't how PG&E communicates. And that's not even my acct. Number.

I found this # on google.  So if any person goes to Google and types in PG&E contact that 877-660-6789 shows up to call? I've unfortunately have to use PG & E forever. I know that's not the correct #.   so frustrating!

You found this number on Google but didn't get a call from it?  Then why were you looking it up?

Why did you bother using Google instead of going directly to the PG&E website?
