Live person, not a robocall, started to leave a message on the answering machine saying my elderly father’s doctor had prescribed new diabetic equipment and mentioned my dad by name. Dad picked up and caller said she needed to confirm his address & before he could give that to her along with possibly other financial info I joined the phone conversation asking for her name “Dana”, the company's name “MedWise”/Med Wise (not sure which way it’s written) and gave the phone number that matched the Toll-Free Number from the Caller ID. Note that the Caller ID just said Toll-Free Number, not MedWise or any business name variant. And Dad’s diabetic equipment & supplies are handled from a big chain pharmacy which is definitely NOT MedWise/Med Wise. I told “Dana” we needed to call and confirm with Dad’s doctor what she said before he gives her any information. I immediately call said doctor relaying the story “Dana” told us. They said they absolutely DID NOT order any and that was 100% a scam.
