Didn't receive a call, but received some "junk mail" about a real estate deal.  Some company (name unknow) selling lakefront property on Douglas Lake.  "The Peninsulas on Douglas Lake" is mentioned, as well as this phone number.  The address on the pamphlet was:  9131 Cross Par Dr/Suite 100, Knoxville TN 37923.  When I searched online, I couldn't find anything for "The Peninsulas on Douglas Lake".  I cross referenced the address and it appears it's a business park of somekind.  Three different businesses, none with the mentioned suite#.

is there land here to sell or is this another investment trap  of unuseable land ?

I did an advanced google search and found the pamplet that was sent and also found a view of the property that they are so called talking about selling.  Possibly thinking about going and checking it out.  Will come back and advise what happens.  Sounds way to good to be true

I did go and it was a feeding frenzy. The land was excellent. The good lots went fast. They sold out in two days. Very well manicured development. Very professionally run operation.

I got junk mail as well selling land in Asheville NC. Its via the Southland Marketing & Development Inc company.

It looks like they are selling foreclosed homes and lots. Prices are great but I assume they are the starting bid prices and will only go up once people start bidding.
Im not sure its a scam but for a company that claims to be 'marketing', they really suck at it.
