I got a letter from AMERICAN NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY with this number saying that they sent a check to us. They spelled national=antional. I called the number back and blocked my phone number and it said all lines are busy from a recording.

I received the same letter today - actually, my wife did. I didn't see the misspelling, but she caught it. When I first saw the letter I assumed it had something to do with a change in benefits at her employer's, but am definitely not about to trust this w/out any further investigation.

Thia is obvious fraud.  You can imagine what happens next:  I didn't get a check; oh, so sorry, it must be from one of your credit cards - give me the number (or your SSN), etc.  I reported this as mail fraud today to the Insurance Company (a real company, but not with that address or zip code).

They sent me a letter to call that number and I searched the web and thankfully got this website exposing them beforehand. We are calling the actual company to report this as well.
