It was a car dealer. You selling something? They want to buy it from you at one quarter what you are asking. Most of them are durty...you know it guys...

Received a call from this number. No message was left. I am selling a car on autotrader so imagine it was some scam artist dealer. 2nd number and 5th phone call from someone like this since posting my car for sale. rediculous!

These guys sold my RV in three weeks, happy I answered the call.  They sent my ad everywhere on the internet and I got lots of qualified buyers.

Are you an owner/partner or one just working for the owner? Your info is BS.  My son worked for this company a very very short time...no address nor allowed to give one out.  NO BBB INFO available  NO ADDRESS. NOTHING!!

Another company that CAN NOT READ.    The ad clearly says it is not OK to call for services or commercial purposes.   And I said to call in the evening.   They called me during the day while I was at work.

IMO it is unethical for these companies to use Craig's List as a hunting ground for customers.   I have two responses to this.

First,  I list their company name and phone number IN MY AD!   I clearly say that I will not do business with these companies and encourage others to avoid them also.    

Second,  I post info on customer survey pages about the companies.    

I am also checking out the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.    I am wondering that if I inform them not to call me ever,  and they do,  can I file a complaint and get some financial restitution from them.    Sure would be a hoot if I got $500 for every violation of the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY that these companies made as a result of hunting customers.

Just got a call from them. I posted my boat on craigs list 2 days ago. Thanks for the heads up on the possible scam.

You forget, nothing happens in this world until something gets sold!

  from our websites buys. Anyone who has sold a used car knows how disappointing it is to take the time to allow a potential buyer to go for a test drive only to find out they have no money and can't get any.
 • We give no contact info until a buyer has been approved for a loan, or proven they have the cash.
 • We offer warranties to potentional buyers(yes for a fee), which makes them feel more comfortable buying a used vehicle.

These people contact me every time I have any type of vehice listed on Cl wish I could get rid of them,I just simply do not take calls from 877#s I also think they may be the same company that calls from California fortunatly my droid tells me where the call is being placed from. I highly doubt someone from calif or even out of state is going to buy directly from me.has to be a scam. andthe post above from Chris above makes me even more leary of them. Want to get rid of this crud, call them back 3 times for every time they call. They can dish it out but can't take it. They also use a 702 area code. CALL THEM, HELP US ALL !

The call is from a company called Auto Trade Net or Network. They supposedly help sell your car for an up front charge. Lady told me $299 and they would post our car on several websites at $19,995. When I told her that rip off reports called them a scam she tried to tell me the guy was being sued for racketeering. She was correct but the guy has not Lost a case yet as far as I could tell. Do not use them because they just want your money. They also call from a 855-252-2668. Mostly call when they see your Craig's List post.

I received a message from a lady about selling our trailer..... .  I later called back and she forwarded me to sales.  The [***] I talked with was very short with me. I told him I was calling them back and asked what their company was about.  He rudely said "we can sell your trailer and its 200 dollars, do ya want to on the list?  I asked for a clearer explainaiton of their service, etc.  The [***] said "look do you want to get on the list or what?" And when I said I don't even know what your service provides....he said "I guess not, have a nice day" and hung up on me.   So, I called back and he answered  "oh my God, now what"......I asked if he was the gentleman I just talked with, and he said yes....I said to him "I called you back to tell you that I think you are Very Rude and Unprofessional, and I hope you "too" have a Nice [***] Day!    Nope, will not be doing business with these people.

"Trish" from Automotive USA (877-731-3803  X4952).  I assume they scan craigslist for car ads (I have one on there) and then call to offer to help market the car.Caller: Automotive USA

Very rude. I called their number back and the lady said "can I help you" in a rude tone.  I told her I just got a call from this number and she asked if I had a vehicle for sale and I told her yes. She then said "well thats why I called you!" Again very rudely. I told her she was rude and she hung up on me after telling me to screw off.
Great business ethics....

Left a message, wanted 299. to sell my car.

I got a call from them stating they will sell my car as early for just 200$ fee. I said I am wise enough to avoid ur scam :D
