Recorded message from a 3rd/4th party debt collector - no company name given, only the name of the person they're after. They're calling known "references" to try to collect on ancient debts & ask that their call be returned even if the recipient has no info on the whereabouts of the person they're after. They will also call back-to-back before finally leaving a voicemail.

These people are scammers. They give a name of someone different each time they call and tell you if they do not call them back, they will "by Law" contact everyone we know and ask them where this person is. Here is where it becomes really unusual. I finally called back, something I usually don't do, but I just had to hear this scam for the pure pleasure. The idiot on the phone had all but a 4rd grade education and started getting smart with me. I finally told this idiot I knew where they were calling from, I actually did track them from a friend who has the ability to do that, and that I was coming there to have a chat with him in person! He said "haven't you ever called the wrong number before?" I said, oh so that's what has been going on for days, you have been calling the wrong number?. He says, "yeah and we will take your number off the list but but but... (3 buts) please don't come here, I am just told what to do".  Believe it or not, I actually felt sorry for that kid by this point. I told him to go work at a gas station or anywhere but for a scammer. Get away from those people as fast as you can. And make sure you notify authorities of who what and where!! That was the end of our little convo.
