Call comes in and no one answers, dead air on line.

No one there.

constantly getting calls from this number

I have received four calls from this number beginning on October 14th.  None are before 9 a.m. or (so far) after 2 p.m.  They are averaging one call per day.  There is no person or machine response on the line after pickup, and the calls never last more than six seconds.

there actually was a person on the other end of the line who asked for me by name and when I said speaking -- they were gone.

Same here, we get so many calls we are ready to get rid of the telephone all together. Most of the calls we get are not for us and we are on the Government's Bogus DO NOT CALL LIST.

No one answers on the other end and when the machine picks up never leaves a message

Telemarketing call from Americall Group (AGI) calling on behalf of Wells Fargo financial services to solicit for new home mortgage business.

I called the number back and got a recording that said it was Wells Fargo calling about a promotion.  It gave me the opportunity to opt out of future calls by pressing 1.

Calls me about twice a week for about a month. Finally called them back tonight. Wells Fargo solicitation - can opt out at end of message by pressing 1 and entering 10-digit number. Should take about 5 days---we will see.

I called the number back and got a recording that said it was Wells Fargo calling about a promotion.  Said they would call back at a later date to discuss the promotion, or gave the opportunity to "opt out" by pressing 1, responding yes, and entering phone number.  Said the request would be processed within 5 business days, but to allow 30 days to be "removed from their marketing efforts".  We will see...

Called the number back and the recording said they were calling on behalf of Wells Fargo for a special promotion, and would call back later to see if we were interested, but was given an opportunity to opt-out of the promotion. Says that it will take 5 business days to process the request, but up to 30 business days to fully remove information from the system. Hopefully this will stop the calls, since they like to call my house multiple times a day for weeks on end now.

Usually goes to my voicemail  and then hangs up and it is a Wells Fargo promo line.  I have caller id and I called it back.  Tried the opt out option but hasn't worked yet!

Finally answered and told the person calling that I wasn't the person they asked for...and told them to take my phone number off of their calling list....they said they would...so we'll see....
