CID comes up with the number only.  I doubt it is for Ben Carson.  The PAC wouldn't call with an anon number. It is spoofed and shouldn't be answered.
No message was left and it only rang a few times.

It's actually very likely that a legitimate campaign call would have a Caller ID number but not name. The NAME portion of Caller ID doesn't come from the calling party – it's looked up in a database (3rd party, in some cases). When phone numbers are assigned it's pretty common that the line will see use some time before the owner information gets added the database, in which case even a legit number will appear with no Name in the Caller ID. This is particularly true with political campaign groups which often acquire multiple phone lines with very short notice (and often have them disconnected when the campaign moves on).

Called today, 11/20/2015 @ 2:08 pm. I answered without speaking and put the phone by a machine that makes a grinding noise. A moment passes, and then disconnected. Hopefully, this will prevent return calls.

I am on the do not call list.  Get call EVERY DAY from this number.

Calls come in to smartphone.  No answering machine (who uses these any more?). I click 'end call' without answering.  I use the Calls Blacklist app (www.vlmob.com) available for free at googleplaystore to permanently block calls from spam numbers.

They all do it. It takes so much cash to run for President that they really have no choice. I got a call from the Carson campaign but not at this number, and I asked them not to call again, and it has been almost 4 months, and they haven't called back yet, so at least it looks like they honored my request. He's not my first choice, either, but I am 100% sure he would be far superior to Mr. Liar P. O'marxist (which is our current President's real name, I suspect).
