My computer locked down and this number popped up to be a contact person.  My phone ID was shut off and I hung up to see what this number was.  They immediately called me back.  I called back next day.  They said they were customer support.  I asked if they were Microsoft.  They said yes.  Next day phone number was no longer in service.  They checked my system out via satellite, and forwarded me to VARTECH, 950 State Hwy 114, Suite 169, Southlake Texas, 76092. 1.800.875.3018. They told me a level 5 0r level 7 Tech needed to evaluate due to regulations(or something similar). I filed a report with Microsoft, and awaiting response.  VALTECH charged me $488.00.  I'm going after them if I have been had.

IF you've been had?  Seriously?  Of course you've been had.  Contact your credit card company immediately.  Also, the scammers likely have installed spyware or malware on your computer.  Get your computer checked out by someone local you trust.
