    Just received a voice message from them, that they are going to deduct $199.99 from"your account" and I need to stop or cancel that payment by calling them back.Is it a  SCAM???

    877-767-8230 Called my elderly mother 2/24/20.
    Would not repeat obscure (fake) company name. my mother they were going to deduct $99 from her account for "Windows software update." Told her he knew there was a Windows computer in her home. There isn't.
    She told caller she does not own or use a computer or even a smartphone.
    At this point, caller turned rude and belligerent and used expletives at her; told her she was "lying." .

    Demanded my mother's name, which she refused to divulge. Then she hung up on him.
