has anyone called them back? who r they?

Haven't called them back, so I don't know.  Sometimes it shows up as a "private" number, other times as an "unknown" number, but every time it tells me to call this number to talk to a claim representative.  I have no intention of calling them back.  They never even say my name on the recording, so it seems like they're just randomly bothering anyone and everyone in case someone responds.

The recording says that I've been named as a claimant in a civil suit filed in my area and that I need to respond by either pushing "1" to talk to a claims representative now, or dial this number.  The number comes up as either "private" or "unknown".  They never identify me by name.  The call has been coming to my direct dial at work.

Continue to get calls from this number stating that I owe $1300 from a payday loan.   Very rude, continued to call me back repeatedly demanding I take action within 15 minutes or the police would come and arrest me.

I keep getting calls from "spoofed" numbers in CT that leave me this 877 number to call back.  They claim that I will be getting served at home or work for a civil suit.  Never mention any name in the call, who they are or what debt they claim I owe.

Who are these people?  They call using 843-628-5461, then they left a message to call 877-775-6221. Called back and got an answer of being SSA.

Please contact Mr. Gary Nitzkin at the following if a Mr. Michael Green contacts you from this number.  This guy has been harrassing me for 10 days now and has violated a number of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  I googled him and he appears to have long history of violations.

This piece of trash called me about a payday loan from several years ago. He said I owed over $3,300. I'm working out of town, over 400 miles from home, near Mexico. I even agreed to settle the debt when I get home in 3 days. Wasn't good enough. This garbage went into an enraged outburst of "oh no, this is getting settled now", "trying to run will get you nowhere", "I'm having you picked up from your job right now"... This idiot made threats to have me arrested. 3 days was not good enough. Well, I have some disturbing news for him. A few yeas ago I was barely getting by. I was forced to deal with those places for survival. And they took advantage of me and my desperation. Now my position is very different. A life changing opportunity now has me in an excellent financial position. Now I'm going after them with a counter suit.

This number is defenitely fraudulent. If you get a call and they provide you with this number for contact, disregard their call and report to your local crime stoper website. Always ask for their local office information, and if their website or email does not end with a .gov or .org on it. they definely don't belong to a government or state instituion.
