This phone no. keeps calling me today. .. four times for today only. Where is this call came from?

Someone called me from this number and left a message implying they are a publishing company. Their message was intended for somene else. I haven't called back to confirm who they are. Not sure if it's a ploy to get people to call. If it is, I'm not falling for it.

Received call for first time today.  Experiencing same problem as Bushman and Cameron.  I believe Cameron's assumption is correct.

I received 3 calls from this number. I live in Italy, so it resulted as an international call. Unfortunately in that format it is very similar to the main phone company's number 187 so I stupidly called back. As soon as I heard it was an answering machine speaking English I hanged up. Wonder who the hell they are and what it cost me to call them back.

It's AuthorHouse a self-publishing company - I'm not sure if they solicit people using that number, but I am working with them on a project right now, so the number is legit (at least for me)

I have been receiving calls from this number for a while, just answered one, the woman identified herself as my assigned rep, (she asked for me by name.)
As far as I know they are very straight forward... Hard even, if you have ever done a search inquiring about self publishing that is how they'd get your info.
In any case I explained to the woman that I am all set and went with another comapnay, she asked if I would like to stay on their list, I said NO thank you, she said ok, I told her to have a great day. Hopefully that will be the end of that!

they are a self publishing scam. iUniverse and AuthorHouse press, it is a vanity press. and eventhough you tell them you are not interested, which i have on several occasions, and i emailed them several times that i went to a different publisher, they still inundate me with phone calls and emails.
