i just got a call from Anthony; I got the exact same voicemail yesterday from Rebecca.. They were both recorded messages saying my name is Anthony (Rebecca yesterday). Made vaguely threatening statements saying "they" had been trying to locate me (and used my name) and that the LAW allows them to contact all references, etc..  These loser people don't give up.. Wouldn't surprise me if they are all a part of the NP Group (that was the call that I got yesterday). All of my debt is current so no clue why they harassing me..

Same experience. Used a name I had 6 years ago, so no clue.

Same recording.Anthony and sometimes no name given and no company's name. Demands that I verify my where abouts.

They left a voicemail saying  they're wanting information about my location. I called the number back but no company name, just another voicemail, and so they will be blocked from contacting me again.

Process server extortion scam.

they left a recorded message on a family members cell phone looking for my whereabouts and that they would use all reference's to find me. I called the number left but called from a business line and they wanted the phone number that they called and i said no you can look up my name and they put me on hold and then said they were not able to locate any information on me.....clearly a scam call

Very threatening call from Anthony...no company name given. Demanded to know my whereabouts and stated all references would be contacted.

Left me a threatening voicemail about "they" have been looking for somebody, but no name given. Just one of MANY scams out there I am afraid.

I got a voicemail from an 877-963-3060 number that was this guy Anthony looking for the whereabouts of a friend and it's to do with the law.  It was exactly the same message in the comments above and left the number 877-775-8141 in the voicemail to return the call.  I will not be calling back this number.

I got a call stating "My name is Anthony this message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for William Hanning. It is important that we speak with you regarding their whereabouts. If we cannot verify this information through you, the law does allow us to contact all references on file. Dial zero now to speak with a representative or call 877-775-8141 if you are unable to provide any information. Please call the office regardless at 877-775-8141 your response is appreciated." I blocked the number.

I have no one in my life named William let alone a William Hanning. The message was very threatening. I also received a call from 858-782-9304 yesterday and there was no message but they managed to fill my voicemail. Not sure if they are connected, but I have been receiving a large amount of calls from out of state that are unexpected. I have zero bad debt and have no idea how these people got my contact information.

I'm on the DNC list. I got a voicemail two days in a row from #877-936-3060 stating "My name is Anthony this message is regarding our location and tracing efforts for ROBIN BUCHANAN. It is important that we speak with you regarding their whereabouts. If we cannot verify this information through you, the law does allow us to contact all references on file. Dial zero now to speak with a representative or call #877-775-8141.If you are unable to provide any information, please call the office regardless at #877-775-8141. Your response is appreciated."

I don't know this person and really don't like that they call from one number and want you to call another. If this is a debt collector, sorry for their bad luck. And what idiot adds "the law allows us to contact all references on file". Well, no kidding - isn't that what a reference is??

I smell a scam...

I got a call 2 days in a row from a Sara with the same spiel looking for a Brenda Williams, I blocked that number and now I got Anthony calling looking for me.. SCAMMERS.. I HATE THEM ALL...

Said they were looking for me for and important matter and would be calling my other contact people, call sounded robotic! Scam

Received a msg from the scammer.
