Got a call this morning on our cell phone from an obvious scammer using this number.  She
claimed we had contacted her, and she could refinance our mortage and credit card debts
for an absurdly low rate.  We own our house free and clear and pay our credit cards in full
every month.  Really,  this was worse than a prank, more like a criminal.

Same here dont even own a house and i've never paid a bill late in my life !! sounds like fraud to me !!!

How do these jerks get a hold of my cell number?

SCAM ALERT!!  I got a call from 810-687-0882 (which turns out to be a disconnected number) and let it go straight to voicemail.  Some girl left a message saying that she found a solution to reduce my monthly payments and lower my interest rates to credit cards and possibly cut my monthly payments in half.  BUT I HAD TO CALL BACK TODAY, and this would be her last courtesy call.  She left her toll free number as 1-877-786-0936.  

When I called the 877 number, a girl answered and immediately asked me for my name.  They do not offer the name of their company. I told her that it is illegal for her company to be presenting false information on Caller ID.   This is called spoofing, and it is when a company masquerades as another by falsifying data.

Report these fiends.  They are trying to find simple minded folks to take advantage of, and I will not stand for it!!

Today I got a voicemail on my cell phone from a girl telling me this was their "last courtesy call", (just like the others in this blog did). This call mentioned that we've only been making minimum payments and we should act now to reduce our rate. She verbally gave this same (877) 786-0936 number but the call came from (810) 687-0882 in "MI, USA".
If it looks fishy, and smells fishy, there's probably a rat involved!

They are still calling.  How they got my work cell phone is anyone's guess.  SCAM!!!!!

Read all the reports about 877, 810 numbers. THANK YOU!!! The 687-0882 # in MI is disconnected... kinda hit'n run, I guess But that was where the same mysterious message came from.  Having called back the 0936 number (which is identified as Consumers' Debt Health Line) after a long, sincere sales pitch by Dana at ext:1318, I told her she was going to be in Heaven.

Judging by all your comments, could I have been mistaken about her final destination???

The return call was to be to the 0936 (Consumers' Debt Health Line).  The original call was from 810 687-0882 yesterday when I was young. Today this number is disconnected.  That was quick.   Verry Strange. $40 up-front charge (one time) 0% interest for 3.5 years until debt is paid off.

Too good to be true?  Will be calling BBB, NOW!

Received call from 810-715-3851 with same young lady "last courtesy call" message as other report.  I didn't hear the beginning of the message, just the "this will be my last courtesy call".
Was told to call 877-786-0936.  

Pretty frustrated that they have my work number.  Not sure where to report, but I'll try BBB of MI (the 810 number is unlisted, coming from MI).

I got a call from 810-715-3851 today and I let it go to voicemail. It was a girl saying she had a great opportunity for me and it would be her last courtesy call... and told me to call 1 877 786 0936. SCAM! I didn't not call, but I know better!

I'm not from this state, and nowhere near here. Just moved here 4 weeks ago and am getting these calls. I have extensive collection experience, so judging by them calling me, I am educatively guessing how/what it is. I recently just got a CC, make well over minimum payments, and switched my mailing address for my CC statements over to my new MI address, the company is using a search engine to find people with open CC lines with addresses in the surrounding areas and just spamming their list with what is called a "route back" system (which is why we all hear the same recorded woman). Then reps are waiting on the line when we call back, to either suck you into consolidating debt (which is a bad idea to do in its own sense) or just get your personal info to scam. They will definitely have whatever phone number you listed on CC accounts. It is debt consolidation, or a scam playing off as debt consolidation. Even if it is a legitimate debt consolidation company, it is totally illegal to spam phones, or even call like this. IF SOMEONE IS IN THE WORKS OF A CLASS ACTION, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS ON LEGALITIES OF COLLECTIONS/DEBT CONSOLIDATION I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER.

Got a call a few minutes ago from 810-239-5861.  Message in voice mail referred me to this number, 877-786-0936 offering similar debt reduction and 1+% interest rate.  Young female voice presented message very well and believable.  Con artists are almost always "believable", aren't they !!  That's why they are elected or people give them money, etc.  :>)

I, too, got a call from 1-810-239-5861 on my cell phone and heard the voicemail asking to call the 877 number.  2 things I am glad about - that it forwarded to my GV account, and that I could search google based on the phone number.  The voicemail didn't say anything about debt reduction or interest rate, only to call in.  I was worried that the 810 number was from out of the country, which is another scam I have heard of in the past.

orignial call: 8102395861 a woman telling me to call this number. called original back, disconnected. no idea how they got my number, i'm too young to have a house, credit cards, paying mortage, etc.
