Woman called our Landline claiming to be the NRA.
This call is a Scam.
Is now BLOCKED by a Call Blocker device attached to our Landline.

More likely a political fund raising call than an outright scam.
According to the site of that rhyming blocking service (that cannot be named outright on this site) the following call transcript was captured in the past hour:

Hello? Hi, Mr. Garbin. Hi, Mr. Garbin. This is Lisa Stillgenbauer. I'm a Pay commercial fundraiser I'm sorry? I'm a Pay commercial fundraiser with imposition working with National Rifle Association for quality and training purposes. All calls may be monitored and recorded. I'm sorry, I'm not understanding what you're saying, Carl, but I'm calling to alert you about a new bill in Congress carl. That would impose eight it would impose 8000% tax on AR 15 and other somatic rifles. The goal? They want to make them completely unaffordable. Am I talking with the person?

There was a bill introduced in Congress that would impose a 1000% excise tax on "assault weapons" (the speech to text software appears to have misinterpreted "a thousand" as "eight thousand"), so it looks to be a plea for money by the lobbyist arm of the NRA.
Since they appear to be using a third party fundraising company, it could be looked on as sort of a scam, by the fundraiser.  With companies like this, the organization the funds are being raised for will get pennies on the dollar and the fundraiser will keep the rest.  Not what most donors would expect for their donation.
