Yes, they advertise phony mortgages on craigslist.  Spammers.

i am a little cared now, i ahve given these people all of my information to help me find a home...what do i do?

Scammers!! I called to speak with the representative to tell them to remove me from there list and I was no longer interested...the lady laughed in my ear dialed numbers and hung up on me, I called back to speak with a manager and got a guy name Chris whom smart mouthed me, played music in my ear and hung up on me. I am reporting them to the BBB.

Never do any business with them

Call your credit card company, have the charges reversed.

I called this company to see what it was about after seeing them on craigslist.com.  I spoke w/a rep & received info & although he tried to pursuade me to give him my cc#.  Something told me not to, so I didn't.  After I finally hung up w/them, I decided to pull up their # & read all of the comments.  I then looked them up on the BBB website & they are rated "D".  Thank you for posting your message, as well as a Thank you to all of you who did.  They will not be receiving a call back from me.

It's the bottom feeders at Anchor House Financial.  They want $200 for a list of foreclosed properties... info that you can get for free elsewhere!  if you don't give them your credit card number, they get hostile.

I just spoke with someone by the name of Jarold Franklyn. He gave me his direct line which is 805.617.0278. Told me he was stationed in Santa Barbara, CA. After I hung up with him, I checked this website. I am so glad I have beings though I am a recent victim of fraud and identity theft.

I saw a listing on Cl as well for a preforeclosure. I called and she also gave me her direct number with an 805 area code. She said it was 199 for a list of preforeclosures and there was no credit check, you just took over the pmts and transfered the documents. When I asked for a website to look the company up before giving out my cc info.. she said there was no site unless I signed up with her snd she gave me a username and password to use. This souded fishy. I went back to Cl today to find the posting and it was gone. I intended to call her on the phone and attempt to login with her on the phone and if it was a scam, I was going to immediately stop the pmt. with my bank. So glad I looked up the number FIRST. Thanks Everyone !!

We DO post warnings on CL, but they get flagged.  Anyway, 800notes.com turns up first on most Google searches.

Anchor's BBB rating has now dropped to an "F" - for FAIL!

Thanks for the info guys. I keep seeing this on Craigslist but was concerned about calling because it didn't seem real. Out of curiosity I googled their phone number and this blog came up....so glad it did! I knew I had a bad feeling about this company. I certainly will not be calling them and advising others to do the same.

I talked with a women named Lucy. She gave me her direct number 805-617-0290. I never gave them my credit card # it just sounded too good to be true. After I looked over their terms and conditions on their website I was pretty sure it would be impossible to get any money back.  I also read customer ratings through a google search. All the ratings were horrible and described as a scam. Thank you all for sharing it saves many of us from making very bad mistakes.
