- Don| 1 reply1 have received several calls over the last week from 877-824-5942 or 5842. They want to inspect my roof for damage from a hail storm we had here over a week ago. I have told them at least 4 times that my adjuster has been out and that I do not have any damage. They called again for the 5th time and I told them not to call anymore or I was going to report them and to take my name off their call list. They called again today and I was not very pleasant with them. I am on the National Do Not Call Registry, but they are calling anyway.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jr in CoCalling multiple times a day with no messages. I don't answer 800 numbers anymore. The do not call list is a frigging joke

- Linda MartinI am on the don not call list and I have been getting numerous unwanted phone calls. I will start reporting them.
- Dan| 1 replyI'm up on the countertop working on kitchen window and phones rings. I climb down answer and I get a dial tone. I understand the calls are from some "fly by night" roofers. Do not call registry is a farce! Rachael from card services has called hundreds of times in past year.

Exactly how is the DNC list a farce?
Legitimate telemarketers use it to prevent calls to registrants. Just think - if there were no such list, you would be getting calls from BOTH legitimate and scam "telemarketers".
The DNC list is NOT a call blocker!
The DNC list does not apply to charities, political calls, surveys, debt collectors or companies with which you did business in the last 18 months.
The DNC list is ignored by spammers and scammers, and those criminals usually use VOIP or burner phones, and cannot be easily traced. Kristi Thompson of the FCC explained that it can take her anywhere from five to ten subpoenas to trace a single robocall back to its origin
Is there ANY law that is 100% effective in preventing criminals from disobeying it?
The FTC penalizes organizations located in the USA that violate DNC provisions, but only if those organizations are identified! Have you done your part to identify your callers?
The DNC organization does not sell its list to non-registered telemarketers.
All this information, and more, is available on the DNC site, for those who have the cerebral capacity to read and understand. Apparently you do not qualify, but prefer to mislabel things that you do not understand.
If you want more protection than provided by the DNC list, get a call blocker app, device, or service, and learn how to use it correctly. Try a little self-responsibility! - Jim replies to DonI suppose that's what it was here although no message was left. We had giant hail a few miles from here last evening. They work quick.
- FredMale caller with a heavy accent from some company I couldn't understand after repeating it twice says they are going to be in our neighborhood and want to do a free inspection on something- can barely understand what he is saying- hung up.
