This is some scam- text messaged me and claimed they were from my bank asking for pin number, exp date, etc...

How do i report this scam text?

My hubby just received the same text.  I didn't even bother calling them.  Your bank doesn't "text" you messages!!! Can't they come up with something better then that??  What a joke!!!

wow I just got it too!  I was worried for a minute, but then I got smart.

Got the call at 2:27PM on 4/3/09.  I was expecting a call from my bank, so I almost responded.  My bank is not SC_bank, however.

just received a text stating the same...I googled the # first .. and saw this......... good initiative !!! thank you guys !!!

SCAM !!!!!

I received the same text and called back from another phone and entered bogus acct #, expiration date and PIN # and a recording said my acct had been verified.  Total scam!!

Me too! Remember your bank will CALL you if they need to verify something.

i called and said all lines are busy please call back..if they want to steal my money wish they would have nerve to come and TRY and take it!

Got the same text a minute ago.  Called the number, it was all choppy, just a horrible connection.  I put in bogus info, it said to hold while I was verified and then it just hung up on me.

i called it for fun gave them random numbers and followed the prompts and they sd it was updated. I dont even have a bank card. Now thats funny.

Got a text message from 877-824-6823@sc-bank.com. I called the number and they ask for your CC number, exp date, and PIN number. That's when you know it's a scam. Called my bank, had my card cancelled anyway and then called the police to make a report. Turns out my bank said they received several calls on this same issue today. It's definitely a scam...DON'T DO IT! This is a great scam, what will they come up with next?

Got it too bout 1 o'clock EST or so, Called the number,Put in fake numbers, and an '08 expiration date, and it took it, lol. Morons.

scam text looking for debit/credit id. ignored

Got the same text request Friday the 3rd. First thing the recorded voice asks for is your credit card number. SCAM !
