Been there and done that, I smoked for some time and have quit. I hate to see anyone smoking and sure don't want to smell it. I gained nothing from smoking and lost lots of money that was spent on cigarettes, at least $22,000 for sure. I smoked 30 year, from 1981 till 2011 at least a pack a day. You do the math.
365 days a year times 30 years is 10,950 days. I smoked Marlboro and they are not the cheap ones so pick a price and multiply is by 10,950. At $2 a pack that's $21,900 and at $3 it is $32,850.
Smoking is not good for anyone. It only makes the top dogs rich and provides paychecks for the working peons. Quit while you can! Also, a little strategy is to just start putting the first one off each morning. It will get easier and easier to just put it off. Think of things to do to stay busy. I still have a pack of cigs and lighter that are 5 years old in the glove box of my car. there is only a few in it but it is there. this really works, I may still be a smoker, I have just put the next one off for over 5 years! That way I didn't freak either because they have always been there, just in case I wanted one!- Caller: Citizens for Tobacco Rights
