- Interrupted| 1 replyLately I've been getting one or two calls from this number daily on my cell phone. I did not answer and they did not leave a voice mail.
- Ann LintonI keep getting these calls and I don't answer unless I know who's calling. If it was a valid matter they would leave a voice mail.
- J.W.Got a call from this number, it leaves no message. I believe it must be a scammer since the number is designed to spoof caller ID intentionally. I never answer a number I am not familiar with or expecting a call from. I have a program on my security on my cell and the number is now blocked.
- JD Richardson| 1 replyI got a call from this number and no message was left.

The caller is persistant and becoming a nuisance. - CJ OsbornGot a call from this number twice, same as the others that have posted prior too. No message
- C.S.This is web.com and they are very annoying. Returning the call will connect you to a live operator and allow you to find out why they are calling and allow you to tell them to stop! Its not any international scammers, unless you feel that company is less than reputable, however in returning the call I did find out that they DID NOT cancel my services like I had asked them to a few weeks ago, so it was a good thing I called, had I not, I would have been charged a monthly service fee.

- Annoyed replies to JBThis is web.com trying to push a promotion for limited help with web sites. They are very aggressive. I called them and ask them to stop calling.
- Jeff| 1 replyI have recieved a call from this same number. If it is web.com as C.S stated, These people are also into fraud. They hacked my banking info and used my card. They're now being investigated by the proper authorities!
- StudioJoeThat explains it. I accessed web.com to audition some products and now they won't leave me alone. Blocked and will never do business with them.

- Angry| 1 replyI signed up for a website with web.com. After receiving a few calls from this number I looked here. Based on what I saw I called web.com and found out the website that I was reserving for $4.95 was actually going to cost me $32.00 a month. Needless to say I cancelled immediately. I am still suspicious since they wanted my password. I have been burned before. If anything else develops I will amend my post.

- Angry replies to JeffThank you. Your post saved me a lot of money.
- Edward DonieCalls over and over without leaving messages. Sometimes a minute apart.
- SheilaI just got one. It was a young East Indian in a phone room. All he said was, "Sully sully." then he hung up. They are employed in India to dial numbers and convince people to send them money but the money goes to an American address or gets taken off a card I suppose.Just based on my experience as a telemarketer I would guess: They are paid by the hour and most of the time they just dial the number and mark it down on a sheet as busy or no one home. American laziness imported. I have so much stuff on my desk anyway, I'm just starting a list of phone numbers from which I won't even bother picking up the phone. Good time for a bathroom break.
- Annette FrickeSame here. I set up a website with this company and they call ceaselessly and leave no message. They better not charge me more than the $40.00 some dollars which is for a whole year acc. to the site.

- LouisI have received similar calls and also ended up here trying to figure it out. My situation mirrors what "Angry" posted in March. I signed up for a website with web.com and it was suppose to cost very little... like $2.95 a month. ( I declined one of the extras.) When I looked at my accounting data I found out the 2.95 was only for the first month. After one month the fees went to $32.00. I cancelled immediately. They also wanted my Password as well. On their website you have to look very carefully to see the very tiny superscript "1" next to the purchase options. Down on the very bottom of the page it does say that everything is a promotion and that it all goes to regular rates after the promotion. Well the promotion is only 1 month. They sucker you into the initial month and then slam you with a big bill one month later. There sales dept. calls relentlessly once you register trying to pile more on the bill. The number they called me from was 877-866-4777. They may be a legit company but they have extremely poor practices.

- DaniI am SO glad I read this forum. I also got calls. It is web.com. I looked into my account and saw that ONLY the first month is $4.95 after that it is $32. BUT the only way you can cancel? You have to call their customer support. Guess who is going to be getting a call to cancel? Bye bye scammers!

- Dani replies to AngryYou are 100% correct, because of this post I checked into it. I almost got charged the same!! Thankfully I caught it 7 days before it expired. It's $32 a month after the first month. Scammers!
