This number has come up on my call display 2-3 times a day for the past week with no message.  I tried to return the call and a loud constant beep is all that I heard.  Annoying.

I finally tracked down who owns this number. It is a newspaper chain. Pembroke Observer or Orillia Packet Times. If you call them back, speak to an operator and tell them not to call back, they say they will remove your number from being called.

I got the same thing and I too called the number back and it was definately a newspaper wanting me to subscribe...I just asked to be removed and it was handled well and I'm now off their list!

When I answered, the call was dead, then disconnected. Very annoying. First time I've had this number pop up.

2nd time I've gotten this call in the past week. If I actually get a hold of someone I'm NOT going to be very impressed with them. >:(

This morning I had 8 hang up messages this morning, and in the past have had many calls a week from this number with silence when I answer the phone.  I have just left a message with the number to remove our number from their database and to stop calling!!!!

this number keeps calling me at 7:30am. i live in thunder bay not [***] Pembroke or orillia.

It's Olameter calling to try and schedule an appointment to change people's hydro meters.  I sent them and Thunder Bay Hydro a letter last year informing them they aren't allowed on my property, guess they miss placed it.

Time to enable Selective Call Rejection.

Had a call the other week and they wanted to know if I wanted to renew my subscription with the Owen Sound Sun Times which I said No to.  Since then I have received 2 more calls and no one on the other end.  Found out they come from Osprey Media and their call center in Kanata, Ont. Called the local newspaper and asked to be taken off ALL of their call lists.    Newspapers are able to call people regarding subscriptions under the Do Not Call List rules but once you ask to be taken off their lists, if they don't comply after 31 days, they can be penalized.  So if you are being harassed by 1-877-866-9272, call your local paper owned by Osprey and get your name off ALL their lists.

I too was told they were calling in regards to my local newspaper (Chatham Daily News) owned by Osprey. I told her that I didn't appreciate getting calls 4 -5 times a week and being hung up on. Before I could even ask to be take off of their list, she hung up on me. So now I don't know if I'm removed or not!

I keep getting phone calls from 877-866-9272 about 5-6 times a day.They never leave a message and when I call back it's a busy signal.

I have received several calls from this number.  When I answer I get a disconnect.  I have tried several times to call this number back and get a rapid busy signal sound or no sound at all.

Received hang up call just a dinner. Tried to call back but call did not go thru.

At least 2 calls a day for past 5-7 days.  When answer the line is dead.  When called number back wouldn't even ring.  Getting sooooo tired of this.  Sounds like those who have tried to stop the calls, not many have had luck getting a human on the other end of the line.  Is there nothing we can really do about this??

This number calls several times a  day with "800 services" along with this number on the caller ID. They don't say anything or leave a message. I can only assume they are recording times of day when number gets answered or doesn't get answered. I wonder if the Call trace feature on my phone service still works?

I consider a call that remains silent when given the courtesy of answered, then it is a prank call, like what we did when we were kids before caller ID was even heard of.
