Threatened my parents and myself with arrest and litigation.  Legit Process servers never give you the heads up - no one would ever wait around to be served.  So if they call and threaten you with unjustified claims it's just to scare you.  Tell them to come to your home or office.  They will either start screaming at you or hang up.  Don't give them any money over the phone!!!!! And they won't show up - ever - it's against the law.

I got a message from some angry guy, giving me some claim number, and saying that ive been served? Served what?
WTF?
They called my friends house too.
Who is that?

Omg! The same thing just happened to me and they called my friend and job...They're going to have to give me something in writing because over the phone and harrassing people are not a legal tactic.

my daughter just received a call from this number and they said that they were an investigating firm and they were looking for me.  they really scared my daughter because they told her that if i didnt call them back that they are going to press criminal charges against me and they will file a failure to appear notice and that they will have me arrested.  Now I tried calling this number and it rings for a long time and then finally it says that the person on extension 300 is not available and for you to leave a message.  I have no idea what this is all about since I never received anything in writing.  And they also called her cell phone from different numbers.

These people are scammers, they go by the acronym of CHM, no idea what it stands for as they change it every time people catch on to them, but they're too lazy to change the acronym, that should tell you the type of people you're dealing with. Do not send these people any money. They will threaten you with legal action, arrest, and violence. All of these things are illegal and are in violation of the FDCPA. If this scum contact you, get any information you can out of them, and if you're a one party state make sure you record the conversation and turn it over to the proper authorities. Don't bother wasting your time attempting to get any kind of verification in the mail from them because they will refuse to send you anything, which also is in violation of the FDCPA. They will also try to tell you that they are a recently started company, but they have a website that was registered in 2011, hosted by GoDaddy services. They have an address listed on their website showing they are based in Chicago, IL, please make sure you contact the FTC and Illinois Attorney General and report them.
