- VickieI called this number back this morning. She was Margaret from AT&T . I was very upset about all the hang ups ! I was asked for my number and name . Then they wanted the last four of the social on the account. I thought Good God if this is a telemarketer I dont want them to have all this information!!! She told me she would take me off the call list. I had already threatened to sue them for harrassment and to get an attorney. She kept insisting on my other info to be removed. I told her NO I will call AT&T whom I do business with (for now). And I will find out if this is a ligit call !! And if not I will sue them cause three times she told me she was with this company !!!
- Caller: Unknown name (but call back its AT&T)
- Bob K2 to 3 calls every day. No voice message - which proves it is not worth the time to answer. If they cannot talk about it, it isd either a lie or not important.
- Caller: ATT
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jo Phillipscall 3 or 4 times a day, no messages left, very annoying.

- Em K1 call today. No message left.
- GregI found out how to stop these incoming calls from AT&T telemarketing. Simply call Dora in Anaheim California at 714-284-2386, or email her @ dm2857@att.com and demand to be taken off their call list. Hope this helps.
- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnnoyedThe number (877)871-9585 is the marketing department at ATT trying to sell DSL high speed Internet. They have called my three nights in a row and every time I have told them I already have Pacbell/ATT DSL. Finally I called the number back, demanded a supervisor and demanded that I be put on their "Do Not Call list" and that it be escalated to be activated within 24-48 hrs.
- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- do not wish to be identifiedthis number calls numerous times a day, including weekend days, leaves no message, is not identified, this is abusive harassment.
- PeterI received call from this number, but no one was on the phone when I picked up. I called the number back (after looking at this website) and spoke with a representative who answered the phone as "AT&T customer service". I gave her the links to this website and to the 800notes.com website, saying that I thought AT&T should be aware of people's experience and what they are saying about AT&T. She said she would pass the information on to . . .(I can't remember exactly what she said here). I asked to be taken off their call list. She asked for the 3-digit code on our account (found on the bill), which I gave her. She said we would be removed from their call list within 30 days. (I have the impression that the National DNC registry doesn't apply to a situation where a company has an existing business relationship with the party called. An annoying loophole, which means one has to contact each such caller one at a time . . .)
P.S. On the http://whocalled.us/lookup/8778719585 website there is the following message from "Dora" on April 25 (see the message from Greg on April 25, above):
"I am not the person to contact to be added to the Do Not Call list. Please call your local business office, 800-750-2355. I cannot help you with these call." - CodydogCancel your business with AT&T. Then if they continue to call you, file a complaint with www.donotcall.gov. If everybody on this list did this, probably be enough to fine AT&T to the point where the calls would stop once requested.
- Address for 877-871-9585Keep receiving calls from this number and it is deadspace, no one there. Called it back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Was given Kira. Her title she reported was Manager of the center. I asked for her location and she told me she is located in St. Louis, Missouri. I asked for her address: 9315 Olive Blvd., Oliveette, Missouri 63132. She said she would again put me on the Do Not Call List but it takes at least 30 days and she can not stop the calls. Aaaarrggghhhhh!!!! I asked if she could tell me why they were calling and she replied "I do not know, We are only a "call-in" center we do not call out". I asked her if she would let her superiors know of the harrassment and she replied she again does not know how this could be happening since they can only get calls in.
SUGGESTION: All of you call and ask to speak to the Manager on Duty and if Kira is on ask for her and let her know these calls need to stop!!!!
Together we can make a difference!!!!!- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer

I have had services from SBC for a long time and now it is AT&T,never had problem before, now all of sudden these company merges and consumer are faced with nothing but problems.
These God darn senators and congress people claims to be working for us and this a biiiiiig fat lie, these creeps works for these companies, allowed them to be merged and leave no option for the consumers to switch to.
we need to call our congress/senators and tell how you feel.- Caller: AT&T

- JudyI keep getting calls too everyday from this number. Every time I answer it they hang up.
- lynetteI get daily hang-ups from these people. Since I see from this board that it is AT&T, I'm thinking of cancelling my service with them. I don't pay them to waste my time by sifting through all their hang-ups in my caller id bank. And since I pay them, I shouldn't have to go through the hassle of requesting to be taken off their list of people to annoy! Absurd!
- GZgot a call from this number multiple times everyday, never left a message, who are they, how do we stop this.
- Caller: Unknown Name
- SResearch led me to the corporate numbers at ATT, where I was forwarded into the appropriate number (for residential complaints in CA, nationally?).... I asked to be removed from all ATT/ vendors telemarketing lists. Was told local ATT Customer Service could send order for removal (don't know how long it takes for this to take effect).
Should you continue to get calls from 877-871-9585, you might also phone 1-800-7916661, and just stay on the line till a human being answers. It is my understanding that this is an ATT Executive Offices number which handles customer issues/complaints for residential numbers.
I provided the who-called-us information, and stated that if this is not an ATT/ vendor call, that ATT might want to know who was using their corporate name fraudulently given the irritation these numerous hang-up calls are creating for so many individuals.
For what it's worth, I'm an ATT "Legacy" customer in CA. I got 2 more calls after the 2 phone calls prior to my Corp. Office call. It's not 9pm yet... maybe more calls yet?!
... Research shows that for every complaint, there are 4 others who don't complain. Keep reporting, keep talking, it counts for alot!
