they left a voicemail saying to call 877-887-8935 back to to verify a transaction. when I called this number it said Bank of America check fraud protection unit. As I called they immediately wanted my account number. they could not tell me why they have called 10 minutes ago. I do not have any checks, so I immediately supposed it was a fraud. I stopped at the Bank to report and they said they never call to verify checks....It is a fraud.They initially called from 678-554-0219

SORRY PHONE CALL WAS REAL IN THIS CASE.  I JUST WENT TO THE BANK TO DOUBLECHECK.

Similar story. They called me from 626-666-2780 and left saying I had a fraud activity, even mentioned the last 4 digits of my account and saying to call 877-887-8935. I called the number played which claimed to be BoA's fraud dept. and they wanted the account info or my Social Security Number. I hung up and called BoA's fraud line (the one on BoA's website) to confirm they had called me (suspecting a scam) and BoA confirmed the call was a scam.

I can confirm that this is an actual call from BoA.  They called from a Pasadena phone number and left the 877-887-8935 number to call.  They have to ask for your account number to look up your account information.  I asked them to verify the last 3 checks that I had written and they were able to confirm those numbers without any additional information.  I called the security number for BoA off of my credit card and they were able to confirm that this was a true BoA number.

Number 8778878935 called and said they needed to confirm a check and wanted our tax id number to confirm a check. That is weird because why would they call to ask for that number? It was suspicious

Had the same scam, called from 626 817 7070 with a bogus ending four digits of my account number. Told me to call 1 (877) 887-8935. Total scam. Called BofA and they were like "whhhhhhat". I put Jihad on them so they'll be dead soon enough. ;-)

They called on an unknow/blocked number but left this number to call back. This is a scam!!!!! I have verified that this is not a real b of a number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not give them any information!!!!!!!

Same story here got calls from the same 2 numbers... Just verified THIS IS A FRAUD...!!!

I called bank of America directly to verify this is a fraud.

I have been receiving daily voicemail messages on my cell phone from women calling from 626-817-7020. One woman calls herself Jennifer, and the other woman who calls from this number says her name is Adrienne. They both claim that they are from the Bank of America Fraud Department. They say that they want to "verify a check" or that they want to"verify a transaction" with me and that I should call them back. They leave me with an eleven-digit Reference ID number and one of the following phone numbers. The phone numbers they have given me for a call back are: 626-817-7256, as well as 626-817-7116. They also say that I can get in touch with the Customer Service Unit at 877-887-8935. I called the real Bank of America at the toll-free 1-800 number listed on my credit card statement, and the representative told me that there is no fraudulent activity associated with my accounts. The daily calls from the scam callers are very annoying.

Liar!   This is a total scam.   You are part of the scam and are posting the same comments on these call verification web sites.   BOA does not ask for your account info.   Lol.  They ask for your verbal PIN.    Dummy.

BOA confirmed to me that this is not BOA. And to always call the number on the account first.

Same message. I called BoA directly using a number from their website and BoA confirmed this number and the call, were both legit.

Same thing happened to me. told me to call 877-887-8935; when I called they asked for my account number and I refused to give it

Hi, I received a phone call from a man saying that he was from Bank of Americas fraud division. The number showing on my phone was 1-800-797-7675. The man who called left a voice mail telling me that he was calling pertaining to possible fraudulent activity on my Credit card account. In his message he left a call back number 1-877-887-8935 and a reference number 001-177-413-##. The two last digits have been marked out. He also knew my full name. I called bank of Americas Customer service phone number and the verified that this man was impersonating as a Bank of America employee and that both numbers were not connected to them. The Bank of America service rep gave this email to report any suspicious events that you might experience. Abuse@BankofAmerica.com Thank you.

I received a call and voice mail  from this number (877-887-8935 ) from a woman named Jackie calling from Bank of America. Jackie mentioned that she works in the frauds department of Bank of America.  She stated that I needed to verify some transactions on my account. I did not call that number back . Instead I immediately called my bank to verify. The representative explained that it was a scam and that everything on my account was fine! Everyone please BEWARE !!
