No, they don't. Process Servers are hired to deliver legal documents. That's it. They don't call ahead of time, they don't make appointments. They don't deliver messages. Their job is to hand over legal documents such as a Summons. If you get a call from someone claiming to be a Process Server you're talking to a SCAMMER! Every time! Fraudulent/Bogus debt collectors just love to impersonate "Process Servers". They think it will intimidate their target. Anyone who knows the legal process will laugh at them. By using the ploy they give themselves away. In many places (mine included) legal process can only be served by a deputy sheriff. When a scammer tries to use the old "Process Server" trick in this county he's met with hysterical laughter from his intended targets. At least by those of them with any understanding of the law. Check with your local clerk of courts offices. Ask them how legal process is done in your county. They'll be glad to help you. You may find that your county has similar regulations in place as in mine. If that's the case any "Process Server" that calls will be proving he's a fraud...twice!
The clerk of courts offices will also be able to tell you if anything has been filed in your name in civil court. Which will have to be done before any "Process Server" will have anything to serve you. It's common sense. Something that bogus debt scammers pray that you don't have. They rely on threats & intimidation. They want to keep you scared & off-balance. Once you step back & take a breath, you see them for what they really are. They're nothing! Just losers who can't get a real job.
    Be Safe. Be Aware.

Received a second call from a Lisa Kline. Stating she was with a processing company out of my county, though she paused before saying which county. I can't understand what the company name is that is filing papers against me. She states she will see me tonight between 5 and 7 at my home. Though in my right mind I know this is a scam, it still makes a person scared and uneasy... I'm so sick of this.

Just an update... So this number continued to call me stating that they stopped by my house, but no one was home... Then they said they stopped by my work and I was absent... Both are lies... I just thought I would share that information for those looking at this number in the future.
