The calls come two or three times a week.  The caller has a foreign accent and usually hangs up if you request any information at all from them.

They are not interested in stopping.

I have received six calls on 7/2/09; three on 7/1; I have a total of 15 calls in one week (since 6/24)from this number which I answered the last call and they are a pharmacy that wants to sell me diet medication.  I have asked nicely, I have used profanity, I have tried to block the phone number, etc. and they keep calling.  What can I do to keep these phone harassers to keep from calling me??
I have tried to return the call and I receive a fast-busy signal.  Obviously this is an illegal setup.  I will ask for more information the next time they call and will post for all to see.  Any info would be helpful.

These jerks called at 7:35 am, which is against federal telemarketing laws and more importantly, the one morning I was going sleep in.  I asked the man on the other end of the phone to give me his name, and he said "Ronnie Brown."  He said he was calling from Miami from a company called Quality Meds.  I told him that he was legally obliged to give me the physical address of where he was calling from and he mumbled some kind of apologyand hung up.   tried to call back, and I got the "you don't have enough points to call this number."

When I get more information on these b*st*rds, I shall post the information here.  We can all tell them that we're filing claims against them in small claims court for $500.  (I've done this before; it works!  :D)

Aha!  When I dialed *67 and then dialed the number, they picked right up and asked me what I wanted to order.  (Dialing *67 blocks your number from appearing on their end; I have no idea why this works.)

I pretended to be an excited customer, asked about the drugs they offered, and then asked the name of the company.  I was told the following information, which I have no way of verifying:

    Capital Health
    8374 NW 64th Street Miami, FL 33166

Then I quit the excited customer routine and told them to put me on their "Do Not Call List" or I'd sue them in small claims court for $500 per phone call, the penalty for not honoring the request.   They haven't called since.

FYI *67 does NOT block your number when you are calling a toll-free number (including 800/866/877 area codes), this is because the other party is paying for the call.

Thank you for the info on the *67 information not blocking the call on the 800/866/877 lines.  Good to know!

For some reason, dialing *67 allowed me to call them; without dialing this code first, my phone calls did not get through.  They apparently seem to have a "Do Not Call" list because they haven't called our house since I threatened to sue them.   This is a nice change from the 5 times a day.  I hope this works for other people.

I made the mistake of buying diet meds from a company about 4 years ago.  Now I have about 25 numbers that randomly call me almost daily trying to sell me medications.  I finally began saving the numbers on my cell, listing them as "blocked" and giving them a number.  Then I save them in my phone with "no ring" status.  Calls still come in but they don't ring through, they just go straight to voice mail and rarely ever is there a message.  Since the calls are from India I don't think there is a way to stop them.  However now I just continue to save the numbers and keep putting them on no ring so that they don't bug me anymore.  They call all they want- I don't hear them. Let them waste their own time!
