Scam about factory warranty about to expire. How do I know it's a scam? My pickup was bought in January 1982.

I got a scam snail mail with this phone number as the contact number.  The address of AutoAssure is listed in the snail mail as 5085 W. Park Blvd, Suite #160, Plano TX 75093, but that's not a guarantee that they are actually there.

I actually keep getting a notice in the mail about vehicle repair.  I've always ignored these notices. This is about having coverage after factory warranty has ended. Why would I need to purchase an auto repair when I already have full coverage etc...I called them to have me removed from their listings.  If anyone gets a notice from Vehicle Documents/Alert Notice  please contact your auto insurance company before considering doing business with them and before giving any persoal information. Also, I would never trust any company that I cannot physically walk into. Being that I had NEVER replied to such notice,  yet they still keep sending them to me.....smh

Keep getting snail mail from an outfit listing this number 877-917-5658 to get you to call to "have your vehicle service contract activated."  They keep sending these out hoping someone will bite (about 2% of people will fall for this) and authorize a credit card charge for their future "repair coverage."  Small italic print on the bottom of the back page says:  "Vehicle Notification Department is a d/b/a/ of AutoAssure, LLC. The administrator/obligor of the vehicle service contract is United car care, Inc., 5700 S. Quebec St., Suite 110, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 or Endurance Dealer Services, 400 Skokie Blvd, Suite 105, Northbrook, IL 60062. ... AutoAssure is located at 5058 W. Park Blvd, Suite #160, Plano, TX 75093."  So when they don't honor your claim, they can bounce you around three different companies in three different states, with each claiming you've got to go against the other company.
